Finally, a solution that actually works!
We have had a swim raft for five summers, and every single summer, seagulls took it over completely. The raft is the centerpiece of our swim area, and our kids use it daily, but once the seagulls moved in, it was basically done for the season. The smell alone made it unusable. We tried everything: sparkly lines, streamers, a fake owl, even playing owl noises through a speaker. Nothing worked. This hawk was our last-ditch effort, and I cannot recommend it enough. We attached the pole to the ladder on the raft, the hawk flies above the top, and it does not impede swimming from the raft at all. I have not seen a single seagull since. This is our second summer using it, and the raft is completely ours again. If you are at your wit's end with birds taking over your dock or raft, just buy this. We wish we had found it years ago.

Highly effective hawk deterrent—easy to assemble and works great
I am very impressed with this bird scarer. I have hawks in my area frequently, but since installing this kite, they haven't come anywhere near my coop. The movement is incredibly realistic; the way it catches the wind and vibrates really seems to mimic a real predator, which keeps the hens safe without causing any harm to the local wildlife. Assembly was straightforward and the craftsmanship is excellent. The 4-meter telescopic pole is sturdy, and even in light winds, the kite maintains great balance and stability. It covers a wide area of my property, and the laser-cut materials feel durable enough to last. It is a simple, effective solution for anyone looking to protect their garden or livestock.

Works well until it breaks in less than a month
Positive: worked well at keeping the birds away. Negative: worked for 3 weeks and two sections of the expanding pole released and the kite flew away.

Looks great ! Easy to Assemble! Durable !
This beCh kit was easy to assemble. The telescoping black pole attaches to the black pole that it is shipped inside of. That wider bottom pole attaches to the white pole with the provided screw. We had to use a drill. The clip on the string attaches to the bird. Then you tie tge other end to the pole with several tight knots. Bird assembly: follow included directions for how to attach the wires to the bird. Our first day using the kite we had very high winds. We placed the pole into a Sandy beach, and there were no issues with the pole coming loose or the string snapping. I will update if we have any luck deterring the geese. So far the cranes and vulchers don’t mind the bird kite

Does what you expect for a kite
I added a brief video showing my simple placement and set-up of the rod and kite length which is important depending on where you put this in your yard or property. I want to scare birds away from our deck to stop them from pooping all over and this should help especially with the flapping kite if you can hear it in the wind. We get a lot of gusty days but I think even slightly moving will scare them. I might have to move it around periodically so they don't get used to it but it's the first time using one of these so we'll see. If notice the part in the ground the white pole needs to be hammered in about 1.5 ft then you can put the black pole over it and secure with the included screw and wing nut. The pole itself is basically like a fishing pole to be honest. It expands in sections and you can twist it a little to tighten the sections. Putting the kite together takes a minute literally. The key is tying the string a good length to not tangle. If you notice my string isn't that long and it keeps the kite string from wrapping around the pole end so might take a little trial and error. Same for the pole position and angle. I wanted mine angled out enough to not hit the deck railing or the corner of my house but close enough so birds would be wary of flying closer to the deck. Hope this helps. If you have wide open space then positioning it won't really be an issue but you'll still need to adjust the string to avoid tangling and the kite wrapping around the pole end. Otherwise.... it's the most kite flying I've done in years successfully lol Enjoy ***UPDATE I've been using this now since purchasing and it has seemed to scare away birds or at least kept them off our deck along with their crap. That said, we've had an unusual amount of wind the past few months and while great for the kite flying it's getting tangled more and more for some reason and I believe it is the strength and amount of winds that we get unfortunately. In normal windy conditions it does ok but we get some that literally push this kite around in all directions including around the pole. I've tried repositioning it and changing the swivel position but nothing works. I don't think it's the kite but if you get high winds or lots of gusts it seems to tangle quite often. I'm not dropping the rating but just wanted to mention the wind issues just so no one thinks the kite is defective. It does what it's supposed to do...fly in the wind ;-)

Works, but not made for windy areas
I have a dock where the birds sit on the edge of the roof and make a real mess. The product did its job keeping the birds away. It was pretty easy to install too. The only problem is I live in an area where it can get pretty windy. It took less than a month for the kite to tear up. I didn’t see a place to contact the seller, only a place to leave the seller a review. I put what had happened and didn’t hear anything back from them. I will try to buy just the kite as it is not that much and reinforce it some to see if it holds together better.

I was Skeptical but this has been a god send
This kite is amazing. We were losing a chicken or two a day to Hawks after the leaves all fell off and the weather started to stay cold and cloudy. I purchased this in October and it has been flying without issue since. We needed a solution. Out of the box this was entirely too short for our needs in Western Pennsylvania, however, I had a fly fishing pole and a section of hurricane fence top rail, along with a 3 foot length of rebar, so I was able to extend the height to well over 20 feet getting it both up high enough that it did not freak out the chickens, and so that it keeps the smaller predators away. I am trying to say, this thing is great, but you need a bit more equipment to make it absolutely awesome. You can get the extra fly fishing rod on Amazon as well, just search for B&M Blk Widow 5 Sect 16.5 Rigged' - BW5RR and that may be enough for you. Otherwise your local hardware store will have the top rail and the rebar for another probably close to $50 investment. I would say it is very durable because it survived a very cold and wet winter here. It flies super easily with the slightest breeze and I have seen it flying really high and taut in really tough winds. I was initially unsure if it would be worth the money but since it has now protected my chickens for half a year, and since I got it rigged up high enough, I have not lost a single bird; it is absolutely a good value for the money.

Great buzzard deterrent.
I bought this kite to help deter turkey buzzards. I live in the country. About 1/4 mile behind my property are power line towers where the buzzards roost. I put new roofs on my home, garage and shop last year and something about the new roofs attracted the buzzards. I was horrified one day when I heard something walking on my roof. I went outside to find around 50+ buzzards on my new roofs. If you don't know, buzzards will degrade a roof quickly with their talons and feces and once they start roosting somewhere, it is difficult to get rid of them. I put this kite up in my yard and the buzzards have left my property for the most part. I also have a pond which is another attraction. There were multiple days that I came home from work and found 50+ buzzards on my new roofs. I would clap, scream and they wouldn't budge. In the last year, the buzzards and only a few at that, less than 10 have been back. When I notice they are venturing back on my property, I will move the kite to a different location. I have ordered two of these because the string that comes with the kite is not that durable. The kite itself is made well. It has withstood the elements, sun, rain, snow, ice, heat and cold. It gets lots of wind and is up and down a lot and the kite is holding up great. One order did not have any string/twine at all in the box. The first one, the string wore thin from the constant movement and in a high wind storm that came up, the string broke and I never could find where the kite flew off to. The size is great. The pole that comes with it is very sturdy and has withstood the elements.I do have to go out there occasionally and unwind the twine from around the pole. If you are having problems with buzzards, this is a great value for the money to attempt to get rid of the buzzards. It has given me piece of mind to not come home and find buzzards on my new roofs!

Fonctionne bien pour éloigner oiseaux
À besoin de peu de vent pour prendre son envol. Seul point négatif c’est que la corde s’enroule autour de la perche.

Poor pole 😫
The kite was easy to assemble. The pole however didn’t extend as per the instruction video. I spent the extra money for the pole only to discover it is in pieces and will not attach end to end or telescope as per the video. We had to tape the ends together, not sure how long the tape will hold. Not happy with the pole
