This item is made by me on the pottery wheel, then impressed with the decorative pattern. It is fired in a kiln for the first bisque firing, then the quartz type lead free glazes are applied. It is then fired up to the finish temperature of 2265 F. The item is rendered as one glassy, vitreous piece. The butter cup part holds @ 6 oz..
