Pearl Automation PJEE100US License Plate Adapter for Pearl Rearvision

1. Pearl RearVision is incompatible with my 2007 Volvo XC90. In order to install it at all, I had to wait a few days for Pearl to send me a special mounting bracket for my Volvo. It wasn't too hard to replace the factory bracket.2. But, even with the extra Volvo adapter bracket installed, Pearl covers the trunk latch handle, making it impossible to open the rear gate.3. Much of Pearl's field of vision at the top is blocked by the tailgate overhang.4. The process of manually switching to Pearl's wi-fi network every time is laborious if your house's wi-fi signal extends to where you park your car. If your phone stays connected to your home wi-fi, you have to open Settings and manually select Pearl's network.5. If you don't, the bluetooth connection is too weak to reach from the tailgate of an XC90 to the dashboard where the phone is mounted.6. The stick-on metal plates don't work with slim cases and permanently mar the look of your phone. A mount that uses tension to hold the phone by its sides would've been much more logical.I very much wanted to keep using Pearl, but these shortcomings—especially the fact that it makes it impossible to open my rear gate—led me to return it. I hope I can use a future version of this product.
