Look and operate great.
Except for have to go buy a tape measure with Metric rule (Lowe's had one Kobalt 25'), this is a great set of hardware for the barn doors. It comes with bolts for every imaginable application. The only negative was that the instructions DID NOT provide some critical measurements for bolt-hole locations on the doors, but it was a great mental and math exercise to calculate it correctly. I emailed the company, but got no response after a week and proceeded with a successful install. They look and operate great and should last 100 years

Fun, functional Item and project
These barn door kits are great and can make your decorating stand out. There's great function too if you have wall space and want an alternate to a traditional swinging. drab door. Amazon is a good resource for these kits considering the alternative of big box stores, and big bucks. This unit is heavy enough to handle solid core doors. Hopefully you understand the importance of secure mounting into wall studs. Thoughtful engineering (as I call it) doesn't hurt either when installing this item. Measure multiple times. Know you may likely want to cut the rail as it's ideal for a 3' wide door (as is) but not all doors or existing openings are 3'. Good sabre saw with a sharp blade can cut your rail. You will likely have to drill holes in the rail to match your existing stud configuration. Take the time to locate your wall studs.Food for thought... Now get real creative and find the right door to really set off your work. Custom interior doors as are prefinished in a number of styles are 100 buck or less. Lowe's, HD, and you local lumber yard can give you a host of options. My project with this item took less than a day once I had the track and door in hand and as includes painting the door.

no instructions, cheap anchors, overall looks good
Overall this hardware looks good. Couple of issues we had was that there were no instructions included in the packaging-not major for my handy husband, but for some, this could be problematic. The wall anchors were EXTREMELY cheap...I would highly suggest buying better anchors and NOT using the ones included in this kit. It would also be nice if there was the ability to adjust the height some on the door once hung. Not sure if this is possible, but we initially hung ours too close to the floor and my husband had to get creative in order to fix it and allow it to slide properly without rubbing anywhere. May have been avoided if instructions were included...I'd suggest leaving 1/2" gap between the bottom of the door and the floor.

Works GREAT
Purchased this item 2 years ago when we first moved into the house. It is only the size of a regular door so it won't work for a large opening but we put it over the hallway opening. Two years not the first problem and it is easy to install. I found a basic door plan on pinterest and we built it in one afternoon, sanded and stained it and put it up the next day. Everyone that has been in the house LOVES it. Not expensive as local hardware store and I would build it again and use this track again with NO hesitation.

Beautiful addition to our cottage
This is a very well made set of hardware. There are several sets of hardware that are included in the kit that you can mount in any wall surface. It looks like you can mount it on concrete walls, or a wood frame. However the instructions do not cover that at all. The other deficiency is that the instructions could have given the simple measurement of how far down the door to drill the first hole in the door, but it is nowhere in the instructions. The whole stud problem goes away when you add a 1 X 4 header.

Good looking product but manual and missing pieces make for an incomplete project.
Beautiful and just what I expected except the instruction manual was horrible. Very little details on installation. Needed to know where items go.My adjustable wall guide is missing parts to it and I am in need of two of them. No contact information on how to received those. Very frustrating as door just dangles freely.

Horrible directions, kit doesn't provide anchors for use in drywall.
This was not an easy installation, and the directions we're not easy to follow. First, the dimensions given for the product, and on the box are in English units while the directions were in metric. Second, the predrilled holes are 450mm apart which is just over 17.5 inches, not 16 inches like studs to US building code. The unit can't be mounted into studs as one would hope to do for good support. Third, there are 2 sets of anchor brackets/bolts, some which don't even show up on the diagram, with no explanation as to what kind of surface to use them on. They would probably work fine in wood or masonery, not drywall like all the pictures depict. I had to purchase large anchors to use in the drywall because the ones provided apparently weren't for drywall and the directions gave no indication of this.

Looks good - hard to install
I like the way this looks, but it was hard to install. My husband is very handy so was able to work around the challenges with the install.
