But I wasn’t bringing a translucent bottle on my river trip so I got this instead. Works well to diffuse the light without dampening the brightness and the hanging strap/hook allowed me to hang it up instead of being at ground level when it’s on a bottle. Definitely worth it once you’re in the tent and don’t want to blind your tent mate by keeping your headlamp on. My retractable light is loose inside, but that’s because this is made to have enough room for a regular strap headlamp.
