Major Results!
Thank you Travis Stork for creating the best plan that has happened to me in the 2 years that I have tried desperately to shake a sugar habit and lose weight! I am in week 3 of the recipe plan and have dropped 2 pant sizes and have NO sugar cravings at all. My mind is clear, my aches and pains are waning, I am sleeping better, have more patience and calm about me and MOST of all I feel great about myself! I never had a weight problem until I got into my 50's and now I see how my body needed to be adjusted nutritionally in order to see results. With the shopping list and recipes that take less than 10 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to get to the table, nothing could be better! This is a lifestyle, NOT a DIET! RESULTS are the the true testimony. This book has made it easy!

Short n advice for older adults
Interesting read. This plan works if your are young and agile. The book does not address the effects of menopause, substitute exercises for those with joint replacements. Waste of my money. I am 73, have had 5 joints replaced. I work out 2days a week with a personal training on TRX. I ride the stationery bike almost 2 miles in 20 minutes before my workout. I walk my dogs daily. I live in a two story house. I eat well and do not eat sugar. I still do not loose weight.

Not sure this is for the ladies
Watch the Doctors on TV all the time, and thought that this would be a good book to help with the belly fat. However, not sure if it is really meant to be used by both male and females. Everything appears to point toward males.

Willpower is Overrated
I've read a lot of weight loss books that emphasized sticking to a two hour routine 6 days a week and a regimented eating plan. That kind of intensely structured system may work for some people but I railed against the time allotment and strictness. I was interested in losing the 8-10 lbs. that I put on every winter, lose, then put on again. What I love about this book is the positive message of a no-diet, no-exercise, ongoing lifestyle change that sticks. The plan itself is "about letting more pleasure into your life." You won't follow anything that doesn't feel good for long - why would you or should you? This book offers suggestions for easy-to-implement changes that you can pick and choose from, the science is explained in short understandable info blurbs, and the overall tone, layout, and message is one of humor and practicality. Highly recommended - it's working for me.

Don't bother
Disappointing- does not cover what I thought it would and certainly nothing new or particularly directed at belly fat. Also, quality of the paper and print is off-putting

Lean Belly
I didn't find it clear on what to eat. I don't want to eat protein all day. The menus just were foods I couldn't use or incorporate into my diet. I'm not a person to like a lot of beans or lentils and don't know how to incorporate them into my diet either that they would be tasty to me. Most of the foods suggested or meals included foods I don't like or they cost a fortune to buy them here in Canada. I'm sorry but it just wasn't helpful to me, I got 1/2 way thru it and decided it wasn't going to work for me. Maybe it's geared more towards men.

good easy read
I enjoyed this book. I would give it 5 stars for the common sense it teaches, but it's so moderate that I have not learned anything new, really, being familiar to healthy eating anyway.I do think that this book should serve as a reference and master book for a mandatory class on nutrition for teenagers, hell, for that matter, for anyone who thinks their diet is out of whack somehow. So I took it as a reminder of proper nutrition.i enjoyed the way the book is written also. It's light and easy to "get the idea".If all north americans would would follow this doctor's prescription on food intake and way of living, our hospitals would be, hopefully, half empty.

The Lean Belly Prescription
Book was ok but certainly did not really inspire me to weight loss. I already do everything he suggested and it just seems too out there. Would not recommend it. Didn't think it was that well written either and felt a bit disjointed.
