This item is preset to a determinate height that will trigger the lift mechanism for the plate where the burger is pressed. This is made for 4 oz burgers, nothing else. a maximum of 5 oz can be done carefully, but not rapidly as the press is too low with regards to the mold. If you plan on making a thicker gourmet burgers with bite this is not an adequate option. Take note, this is not in the description.Note: this must be used with the paper dividers, otherwise the patty will stick to the plates. I guess you can lubricate with cooking spray, I will have to try, but I don't know how many patties can be done with out re-lubing, and i require a commercial application for a large number of patties per process.

Not as described. Machine isn't high quality. Definitely not worth the price.

This patty press saved lots of my time from preparing patties for BBQ party, and it creates the perfect size of patties. Easy to clean and operate. It comes with complimentary patty paper too. Very convince.
