I have an iPhone X with an Otterbox 'Defender' case and it fits in the 'Large' size for this mount.

Q: I'm worried that once attached and pointed up towards my face while riding, that road vibration and the weight of the phone will cause it rotate down?

I have mine on a motorcycle and it hasn't moved for me. Put it on there tight enough and it holds pretty good. I've gotten up to 75 mph and my phone just chills in place. Not sure I would trust it much faster than that.
