XMOTION L2: 2-Channel True HD Front and Rear Premium in-Car Dashcam 3.5" Touch Screen (Black Box) 16GB Storage

I drive in a traffic heavy area. For peace of mind and given its affordable price, I decided to purchase the XMOTION really based on word of mouth recommendations. I’m very happy with this decision – it was easy to install and super easy to use and has great resolution (both day and night). I also really like the compact size and sleek design (it’s not an eyesore like some of the other dash cams I looked at). I may also look into hard-wiring it to my car to record while parked (I park in a third party operated garage and had some issues with my car being scratched previously).

The quality of the video is clear but a little on the darker side. Biggest complaint about this product is the terrible directions. I've attached photos of how my camera is mounted as per the directions but the rear camera's image is now upside down and there's no way to correct this. I do not want to rerun the wire all the way down the car again since I already have everything tucked away cleanly. I also had to put some electrical tape over the led on the rear camera since the blinking light reflected off the rear glass and right back into the camera.

Picked up the L2 since I had many accidents and everytime I had accients, it was pain in the neck to prove that it wasn't at my fault.L2 looks very clean and seems to have good specs and features for the price so I decided to buy it. Here are some pros and cons:Pros:-Very nice piano black and goes very well with my interior.-Nice quality of materials, not like those made in China dashcams. (I have tried those dashcams under $50...don't buy them seriously...)-Pretty good front camera quality. I can read the license plate numbers on cars front of me and most of signs on buildings.-Full touch screen, that lets me do instant playback.-Very easy to install. (I did cigarette jack install method)Cons:-Booting up speed is tad slow. I wish it was a little bit faster.-I wish the rear camera's quality was better. But I still can't complain because then price would had been higher if it had a better rear camera.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I believe this 2 Channel XMOTION L2 is the best bang for your buck. I will highly recommend this dashcam to my friends and family! and remember, Korea makes the best dashcam!

Every time I drive somewhere it freezes between 2 and 5 minutes after I leave my house. This means that every time I go anywhere I have to watch it and wait for it to freeze, so I can restart it. This means that not only am I not paying attention to the road, but if I forget to restart it (there is no way to tell when it freezes except to look and see that it has stopped working) or if it freezes for a second time (which doesn't always happen but is happening more and more) and something happens to me I will have no footage of it.Another complaint I have is that it only ever saves videos in one minute increments, and the only way to view to footage at all is to download 3rd party software.Bottom line: DO NOT BUY THIS!

To get the video from the front cam is as easy as putting the SD card into your computer, but to get the rear video, you need to download 3rd party software, and there is no way to save the recording, you are just able to play it. I was in front of a serious accident that was recorded by the rear cam and I had to play it on my computer and record the video with my cell phone to email it to the police as evidence.

I researched several different models of dash cams because I've wanted extra security and peace of mind. I found out dash cams have been popular in Korea for years and the manufacturing is of high quality so I decided to try this one and am impressed so far with the performance. It's basically plug and go - easy to use. The touch screen makes it extra easy to use. The video quality is good even at night. Very happy with this purchase!

It would be better, if there is detailed introduction of installation.I have some difficulty to connect electrical parts for this camera.

This dashcam has everything I've been looking for. It is easy to install and use, has *great* video quality and I LOVE how sleek the design is, making it uncomplicated and discreet for daily use. My friend recently had an experience where his dashcam footage came in handy with his insurance company, which is why I am buying this one. I will also be planning to use it to review my children's driving once they turn 16 and get their license. Worth the investment in my opinion.
