Avoid these cut rate tie down straps and put your money into something that will last a more than one use and can be relied upon. I bought these to use as a general tie down strap in my pickup (lumber, pipe, whatever). They broke on their first use. Not a great look, but worse they're not something you can trust at all if you use them as intended to keep stuff in your truck.I was hesitant to buy because the straps are rated less than others, but I figured 500lbs was more than enough for general use. I had no idea I should have expected the handle to break. Not only is this dangerous during use, it nearly sliced my hand open when it broke in half. Avoid. Amazon should pull this product ASAP!!!

I've had the chance to use these a couple of times now. They are light years better than my orange tie downs bought at a local box store. They retract much easier and have been strong enough for securing a Honda Shadow Ace 1100 for a trailer ride and a mattress move in the bed of a truck. I was somewhat concerned as a few reviewers mentioned they stretched and got loose for them, but mine didn't do that at all. I suspect operator error on those instances...

I really hate these straps. They are made cheaply and are hard to operate. If your item to be strapped is too small the strapping will bind up since there isn't enough room to accommodate the entire length of strap. Pay more money and get a better strap. I will probably just throw these away.

Nice and rugged, ratchets are heavy duty and show no signs of strain under even the tightest load. Release is easy and without effort unlike other ratchets I have used in the past which sometimes dont want to release while under pressure.Soft rubber grips in all the right places to avoid sore hands and fingers.Great product.

I bought these because I needed 4 20ft straps, but not sure if I'd like the cranking mechanism. I've seen a variety of (terrible) ratchets on straps, and thought these would have one I like.I was right! they're great to work with, have the ratchet release right by my fingers, and lever down and toward the wheel. A+ experience.

Using two of them to keep a small lightweight plastic storage box in it's place near our garden. It's taller than wide and tends to move around or fall over in storms. These straps are working perfectly there. The other two went in my Ranger and are more than enough for hauling the lumber I get for projects on the farm. All in all, a great deal and a heck of a bargain. Highly recommend.
