Corsair Waterblocks: Why I’m Never Going Back to EK Again
Alright, buckle up because I went all in on Corsair’s waterblocks for my CPU, RAM, and pump, and let me tell you—I’m never going back to EK again. I’m talking about a triple threat here, and Corsair knocked it out of the park.First off, the price difference between Corsair and EK? Stupendous. I felt like I was getting away with a steal. But the real kicker? The pre-applied thermal pads that aren’t crap. No more scraping off factory gunk like a caveman with a butter knife; Corsair actually gives you thermal pads that make installation feel like a spa day for your PC. Life-saver? You bet! Now, I’ll admit the pump was a tad pricier than I’d have liked, but after a used one leaked like the Titanic in my rig, I wasn’t about to redo my hardline tubing. Corsair’s pump is rock solid—whisper-quiet, no drama, just cool, consistent flow like it’s training for a marathon. All in all, I purchased all three: CPU, RAM blocks, and pump, and I’m writing this single review for all of them because they’re that good. Quality is top-tier across the board, and I’m officially Corsair-converted.EK, who? With Corsair, I’m finally sleeping soundly, knowing my rig looks and performs like a million bucks without costing anywhere near that. Five stars to Corsair for water blocks that are surprisingly better, better-priced, and ready to turn your PC into an absolute liquid-cooled beast!

Mount it with the outlet upwards
The thumb screws are a little tight to start and apply a lot of pressure. I am not sure the second is any sort of an issue, it gets the water block in tight contact with the processor. I am using this on an i7-14700K, when running performance benchmarks the CPU hits over 250 Watts and core temperatures hit 85C. With an AIO that got good marks it was hitting 100C on some cores and going into thermal throttling. The paperwork says you can mount it any way, but that's not right. Air an get trapped at the top if you have the inlet and outlet side by side. Next time I open the case I may rotate it 90 degrees to put the outlet at the top. The RGB matches the MSI motherboard that is driving it. Are there better water blocks? It's a style choice. This one works fine for me.

Works well but must mount with the holes going up and down.
This product works well. I only needed to mount the ports in a vertical arrangement with the bottom port being used as an intake. I imagine like many have pointed out, it would trap air if the holes are mounted in a horizontal configuration as there is absolutely no way for the air to be removed from the high point in the block. I'd imagine that there would even be less air if the top hose was used as an intake which would be incorrect but would probably keep out air with fast enough flow.

Good Product
Not in use yet but seems well made and the LEDs work. Will do another review when I get the CPU and the block is in use.

Actually a nice block
I've been water cooling for over 20 yrs and have used and seen many parts, some with crazy claims and some that were amazing in their time ( I do miss danger den and swiftech ) I bought this one because I needed a left right port layout, reviews seemed decent so I gave it a try, my only gripe would be the default layout, why put the inlet on the left? That make 0 sense, pump, res distro plate etc are at the front so the right would make more sense, easy to flip though, outer cover ( the black piece ) comes off and you can turn it 180° to put it on the right side. Cooling wise it's right there with all the other good ones so no worries there. I do prefer a all metal body block but this will be fine. Lighting is nice and bright, maybe a little to bright and does work with standard argb headers.
