Best bang for the buck
Okay.... what's there to say about this. It's a sight tool that WORKS!!! Sure if looks crude..... maybe ugly..... definitely not fancy looking.... but it is TOUGH!! I can never see this thing breaking. I have used it on 1911s, Glocks and a Beretta. Worked on all of them. I have no doubts that it will work on all pistol sights. Okay... here is the best part..... IT'S NOT EXPENSIVE!!! Come on. Why pay $150-300 for a fancy anodized aluminum piece when this gets the job done. Am I a full-time gunsmith? Nope. Though I can sure as heck save a lot of money changing out my own sights. Not much to write about here. It's a well built, stout, crude looking (as in not fancy), useful tool. I have no problems telling someone to buy this tool over the more expensive ones. Now if you are a gunsmith and want to by a specific sight tool for a given brand of firearm, then that is understandable. If you want a change out a set of sights at home, save a few dollars, and use it on various pistols.... then YES... this is what you are looking for.

Worth the investment
Works really well, almost too well. If you have never used a sight pusher before make sure you are paying attention to the slight differences in tension when pushing the new sight in. The pusher makes it all seem to easy when in actuality you should be probably be filing the sight to fit better. A good rule of thumb is you should be able to get about 50% (possibly a little less) of the sight in using hand strength. If you cannot file the sight down until you can. You can then safely use the pusher to get it into place. The sight in terms of build is definitely good quality, only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is I wish from the manufacturer they placed some sort of coating or material on the pusher to help reduce the chance of marring your slight. Although the pusher blocks are made from aluminum its still not soft enough to prevent damage to a steel sight.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT - Works great
6 Stars!!I spent 2 weeks trying to get new night sights installed on my Kimber Ultra CDP II handgun and broke 2 pairs of sites. If you know Kimbers, they feature dovetails front and back and the factory sights are VERY tight. Used brass punches, 1911 armorers block and a lot of elbow grease to get the original sights off. Broke two of the front sights pounding them in and just about gave up and was ready to send to a gunsmith. Saw this product on Amazon and it was a good price and decided "why not"!Sure glad I purchased this sight pusher. The new Tru Glo night sites were installed in 15 minutes. The tool has many options to fit different sights and the unit remained rigid the entire time. Plenty of strength to install the stubborn sights the first time. No marring of the sight (the pusher is aluminum) as are the hold down blocks.Great product! Great Features!! Works as advertised!!! Please give this a chance and keep on of these tools in your tool box.

Great do it yourself sight pusher
I own an XD mod 2 9mm and 45, that came with stock fiber optic sights. I decided to upgrade the sights and I purchased this sight pusher to do the job. The sight pusher did the job easily and flawlessly, but if you own XD mod 2. I recommend you purchase additional blocks from manufacturer directly from their websight. The XD mod 2 has a weird angle and you require angled blocks. The blocks that came with the sight pusher were straight-sided and couldn't hold the xd slide down in place. The manufacturer offers 3 sets of additional blocks for $19.99, which isn't a bad price. By buying the additional block sets, it will set you up to change additional sights on all different types of guns. This product is very sturdy and easy to use. I recommend you use a vise block to hold the sight pusher in place, a ratchet and take your time when replacing gun sights. Take measurements and mark the location of your original sights. This will give a guide of lining up your new sights. When you go to the gun range and if you need a second opinion if your sights are straight, you can ask the range officer to fire off a few shots and he or she will let you know.

Good, just not for step-side slides. I'd rather rescue a kitten.
You know those do-it-yourself projects that we sometimes do, where we maybe even buy a special tool or two, and take on something we haven't done before? And when we succeed and are finished we are like...YEAH, that was cool! Can't wait to use those tools and do THAT again! Yeah, well, this wasn't one of those experiences for me. This is not a saving a kitten, feel-good experience, by any stretch.I got the tool today and excitedly proceeded to put TRUGLO TFX PRO sights on an XD 45 subcompact mod 2. About 3 hours later, I was done. And not feeling that great about it. I had watched a vid or two from the manufacturer before starting, and felt pretty good about it all getting started. :)The tool itself? - It is fine for the most part. Pretty much what you read in the reviews here is pretty accurate, in my opinion. The quality and finish of the tool is good, and it should last a while.Does it work? - I believe for the most part that it works pretty good for a universal tool. Whenever we buy something that's not made specifically for the item was are using it on, there is always going to be things that could be better. The Good? - I finally got the sights changed and didn't have to pay a gunsmith $50 bucks to do it.The Bad? - I paid 50+ bucks for a tool instead, it took forever it seemed, wasn't a real pleasant experience, and had me searching for more business cards and card stock to make more 'shims' and such throughout the process. It was at times very frustrating to use, and as many others have mentioned, definitely needs a finer thread bolt on the pusher. Also...despite being VERY careful, using extreme caution in every way I could, I STILL ended up with marks and slight damage to the finish in the slide. Not my favorite. :(Overall? - I think it would work MUCH easier/better to use for most guns that have a flat slide, but for those that have stepped-side slides, like the one I was doing today?...Not so much. Even though they use a firearm similar to the one I worked on today in their vids, and make it look/sound like it's a five minute job and then they spend the rest of the day having tea and crumpets, it's not...lol. They also have the special step-side tooling (not included here) in their vids, which I believe would make a HUGE difference as well.Would I buy it again? - Yes and no. To use on a flat-slide slide gun, it think it would be pretty good. And any gun that's NOT Springfield I think it would be sufficient, too, since Springfield apparently think it's cool to drive a tank over their pistols to press the sights in. BUT...since I have in the past just tapped the sights in/out of other brands with no issues, and didn't need a pusher, I wouldn't buy this for any other gun either, as you don't really need it. Soooo... would I buy it again if I had another XD to do? No, as it doesn't work that well on them without the special tooling. I just wouldn't buy an XD and plan on changing the sights. I'd just buy different brand of firearm, grab my hammer and nylon punch, and forget about needing a product like this one altogether. :)3 stars though for an imaginative, well-made, universal tool that performs well for what it is. :)
