Great machine. I've been sewing for more than 60 years. This machine is fairly straightforward and easy to use. It comes with a simple "Quick Start" guide so if you aren't familiar with sewing machines you might want to download the digital manual. (I did just to have it on hand in case I needed it, but I didn't need to use it). The automatic threader works well; it runs smoothly and quietly. I tried out a few of the stitches and they worked well and are neat and even.

I am a beginner sewer. Having previously been using my grandmothers very old Singer sewing machine from back in the day (Singer model 237) which was not working real well lately. I decided it was worth it to upgrade. I am so glad I did. This machine runs smoothly and I love the digital screen for choosing different stitches and lengths. I am no longer having issues of thread constantly breaking (no matter how tight or loose I have the tension). I even appreciate the bigger foot pedal on this machine compared to my grandmothers. This machine is also lighter than my grandmothers. So if I need help on a project. I can easily pack it up, put it's in rolling tote and take it over to my aunts house or my friends house. This machine is even easier to thread than my grandmothers, the light is brighter, and I love the thread cutter. All awesome things I love about it. I will be keeping my grandmothers however. But will only use this new machine going forward.

I used to have a Brother brand sewing machine that was the base of all base models. It got me through what I needed it for during college (Fashion Major here). After 6+ years it had finally given out and I upgraded to this Singer. I knew I wanted something that was computerized, so I wouldn't have to deal with the woes of a mechanical sewing machine - and this absolutely amazed me the first time using it. It is super easy to use, bobbin-loading is a snap, the screen (although small) is easy to understand and shows you exactly which stitch is being used... absolutely astounded. It was super-low priced compared to other places too! I'm not sure if it was misplaced but I got this for ~$150 on amazon (Other online spaces had it at $180-240). It came brand new in the box and I've had 0 issues thus far. Glad I went with the original sewing machine brand.

I can't blame the sellers for the issues I'm having but I do blame the manufacturer for mass-producing without Quality Control! Since this pandemic, manufacturers are producing so fast that they're not quality controlling their products! I have never had so much problems with the thread slipping off the tension bars and the bobbin thread, "nesting"! I have been sewing for years and have never had so many problems with a machine! If I didn't know how to do my own problem solving, I'd be at a total loss on what to do! If you're an expert, this machine is going to work for you but if you're new to sewing, I'd carefully reconsider buying this one. Plus, it doesn't come with a manual which was really weird and the cover seems to be missing something!

After several years without a sewing machine, I decided that this one would be a perfect gift to myself. I set it up yesterday and am excited to start some projects. Setup was straight forward, but might be a challenge for a truly first timer. I was happy to find that some of my old "accessories" like bobbins fit this new machine. My only disappointment is that I was expecting a case, but this package only includes a cover - not sure that's even worth it, but we'll see. Overall, it's a good solid machine that I will use for years.

It was not factory sealed or packaged, there was nothing tight in the box. The front housing was not on properly, the screws holding the housing were loose and styrofoam balls were inside the machine. The plastic dust cover was the only protection around the machine, when every other machine I've owned in my 50+ years have been wrapped in protective material to keep the machine secure. Threading the machine was neigh on impossible because bringing up the bobbin thread took 35 minutes and a few vague promises to the dark forces to make it work. Then, the excessive oil knotted and fouled the thread causing the bottom thread to break. It was a 3 inch line of the basic stitch on normal tension. The only factory new items were the accessories, pedal, power cord. So, repackaged with little care. Attempt at some kind of work on it and closed up wrong. Excessive oil and defective. This is not a new machine or a properly functioning one. This is not new out of the box Singer quality. Am requesting a refund or new replacement. New from the factory.

Some mechenical problem. Open the new sewing machine box. Starting sewing is easy, but Singer machine does not sewing good. Needle is braking. I think that SINGER Machine is good name brand.

Has USA power for Australia even though shipped within Australia so it blew up when plugged to adapter

Excelente diseño, muy buenos accesorios. Me falta un manual para usarla, pero hay muchos videos en internet para usarla. Así que sin problema.

Lo único que no me gustó es que cuando se atora sigue cosiendo y hace un error y rompe las agujas, nada como las viejita singer que se detienen luego luego

Trabaja muy bien y no hace mucho ruido. Solo que trae la aguja muy frágil

It sewed easily and many types of fabrics. The unit itself is a little bit flimsy but great for beginners and nothing too fancy. It took awhile to get use to the backup button.
