Instant read it is not! Works fine, but figure you will wait quite a will for the temperature to stabilize. Certainly not a few seconds, more like 20 or so. Also, they probe snaps into the body, which is good, but you have to use a knife to get it loose; I can't just pop it loose with my fingers. The price was cheap, but not a great product design at all.

No longer worked properly after only a few uses and it was not the battery.

I have been using mine for quite some time. Bought this one for my son-in-law.Easy to use. Bought it because it has a temp for fish. Not all of them do.

Has been working very well for a few months so far. I'd say it probably takes about 3-4 seconds for a good read. The magnet isn't really strong enough to actually stick it to the fridge, I just keep it in a drawer. I'm happy with my purchase.

This is great. Works very quickly, easy to use. Only minor complaint is that the magnet on the back is not very strong so will not hold on fridge. Other than that, I love it!

What a great tool. I used it for BBQ and it do works. I do not have to confused by thinking when it is ready. The exact temperature for each kind of meat is attached on the thermometer which makes it more convinient and accurate.

Gets you the temperature very fast. Plastic housing seems cheap and I'm keeping mine in the original packaging as a safety measure. I do like this thermometer though.

This thermometer is easy to use. I got one for my husband and he was very happy with it. We liked it so much, we bought another to use at the lake.
