Best perfume company
I knew of Caswell-Massey from my mother, they used to have a store at the high-end mall when I was a kid. (I'm 43) I had not heard of them since the store closed...I assumed they went out of business. Low and behold my husband and I walked into a boutique store while on honeymoon and there was a whole display of Casswell-Massey products! I just stared in awe lol So he bought me the Love Potion #1 perfume....it's in a dark blue glass bottle with elegant gold cap with a lovely yellow and blue delph box....it smells divine. I also bought Verbena perfume, also smells amazing. After we left I did an internet search to see if I could add to my collection and Amazon sells it?!?! Omg. It's become an obsession. I am a perfume nut anyway, I'm used to sophisticated essential oils perfumes. This brand must have EO's in it. It's NOT synthetic fragrance...my nose knows. And all of their perfumes stay an amazingly long time on my skin. My husband loves my new collection of perfumes. I have this one...Beatrix, which smells of a delicate rose garden. I also got Almond, Honeysuckle, Lilac and plan to get Sandlewood next. So if you have sophisticated tastes in perfumes...this is your company. They blend all the neccesary top, middle and base notes in to what seems like a single fragrance...but I think they may add other lpw profile scents in with them to 'round it out'. Very high quality. It's the oldest perfume company in the country, est 1750-ish. I can see why they are still in business...10 stars!!

It's okay. Doesn't smell the same.
My mom has a small bottle of beatrix rose and I LOVE it so much that I decided to buy my own. My mom's was purchased directly from casewell massey and it does not smell the same as this perfume. When I first sprayed my bottle it smelled of alcohol and the scent has little staying power. I can't detect the sweet berry notes, just rose and a sharp tangy(?) underlying scent.The scent is not as rich as the bottle directly from casewell massey. I may buy another bottle directly from their website if this doesnt grow on me. 3 stars because someone may still like this scent.

Smells like what you would imagine a cheap silk funeral arrangement atop a casket would smell like. 🤮
