Fantastic jacket for the price -- probably the best deal out there at the moment. As the seller indicates, consider sizing up 1-2 sizes. I'm ~6 ft, 190lbs, ~36" waist, ~43" chest. I'm typically a size 'large' for just about everything. I ordered XL here and the fit is spot-on for this type of softshell jacket and my intended use. XL gave me the standard, 'large'-like fit, plenty of arm mobility with layering room for a light- or medium-weight base layer underneath -- which is ideal for the on-the-go, cover-a-lot-of-ground-by-foot, spot & stalk-style of high-elevation hunting I do during shoulder season in northern climates (Montana).If you are a sit & wait-type hunter who wants the ability to wear a thicker-weight fleece or sweater under this jacket for added warmth, perhaps consider sizing up 2 sizes from your normal -- although that might be overkill based on my limited experience with this jacket. Your mileage may vary. For me, one size up was perfect (same story with the matching pants).For those out there expecting this jacket to be fully waterproof like a top-tier fabric/membrane laminate like G-Tex, that expectation is misplaced and you should consider revising it. This is softshell piece with (I'm guessing) a DWR-like coating. This jacket should serve as a highly functional and versatile PART of your layering and warmth-retention SYSTEM (i.e. one piece out of several). It has four-way stretch, breathes well, retains some warmth, and has decent-to-good water shedding capabilities under many moderate conditions you might face. It, like virtually any softshell, will fail to keep you dry in heavy precipitation (or steady, light precip that continues for hours and hours on end, for that matter) -- those conditions are what expensive waterproof/breathable membrane laminate garments (and roofs) are for.With the proper understanding of its intended use and inherent advantages & limitations, this jacket is perfect -- especially for the price.
