Does not fit a 1911 you have to force the gun into the holster and then you simply cannot remove it. I own 2 other fobus holsters which fit the other guns. This does not fit.

I have a few Fobus paddle holsters and I like them. Right out of the box this may or may not fit your 1911. My Colt fits perfectly however, the trigger guard on my Rock Islands have a slightly different radius at the front. Right out of the box, the pistol does not lock. If you insert the pistol a few times, you will leave a small mark inside the holster where the trigger guard hits. I removed material around this mark until the holster locks perfectly on all my Rock Island 1911. A dremmel would be best but I didn't have one. I chucked a small drill bit in a drill press and ran it fast. The material is fairly hard and removes slowly, I finished with a small file. For the $20 something I spent on it, works great. Sticks out a little farther than IWB so it may or may not be concealable in your situation.
