Nice low bandpass.
I have an Alinco DX-SR8T connected to a Solarcon A99; not the best of antennas but it does what it does. Obviously I mostly just listen giving my setup although I do have a Bearcat 980SSB that I hook up from time-to time to play on 11 meters. In my area I have issues with noise and a cyclic buzz that I can't find that only comes across the A99 and only when my Alinco or Bearcat is connected. It is on no other radios so it has me stumped. After weeks of trial and error, asking questions to more experienced folks, killing the power to my house and running my radio from a battery pack, I've determined it's an external source I'll probably have to live with. After looking at independent testing, I saw this bandpass really dropped frequencies starting about and going above 35 khz so I took a chance. Although it did not eliminate the buzz issue I'm having, placing this inline with my coax really reduced noise levels I wasn't aware I had and cleaned up the audio. The buzz is more manageable so I can now listen a bit better to weak stations with the squelch turned down. The buzz is still prevalent but this bandpass 'weakened' the noise. It made a definite improvement in my system and I'm contemplating buying another. This being the first low bandpass unit I've used, I can't provide any comparisons but I feel it was well worth the asking price and it just looks nice sitting on my desk. TX reports are fine and dandy and I'm sure since using a splatter antenna like the A99, any help it can give it on outgoing signals will be appreciated by any neighbors with older or cheaper electronics susceptible to RFI.

Well Made Ham Radio TVI Filter
Facing some recently developed TVI (television interference) problems from my ham radio equipment, I decided to place a low pass RF filter in my transmission line. I looked at several new and used filters before purchasing the RF Limited DF3000 30MHz 3,000 Watt Low Pass Filter. This is a well made filter that can sit next to the transmitter or be wall mounted. (Mounting screws are thoughtfully included.) The construction looks better than the MFJ low pass filter. And, yes, it does the job sharply cutting off all emissions above 30 MHz.

Extra precautions proved worth while.
Running a radio that is within legally "acceptable" harmonic levels, but also running an IMAX 2000 that is known to cause RFI issues. I wanted to take an extra step the prevent causing any issues with neighbors or more serious service like Air Medics, Fire, Police, etc as they are all within a close proximity of my station. I also run this in conjunction with an RM Italy 27/586. Not paranoid, just cautious and mindful ;) This filter has two curves giving it more a band pass effect but doesn't have as high of an attenuation as the RM Italy does. Running them together actually dropped my SWR a bit which already wasn't bad before. I also tried moving things around, swapping the direction of the filter, running this filter before, and after the RM Italy, and the SWR was flat with all of these changes. My TV antenna is maybe 20 feet from my IMAX and when I TX with no filters, I do get slight glitchy DTV signal, but with filters installed, I get nothing. So I know they work! Pretty nice "tool" for the radio arsenal and decently priced when they are available.

Works as described. Well built. Would, and have bought another.

Good Value
Least expensive when compared to other low pass filters available by a long shot. Nice build quality. (The case alone is work 40 bucks.)

It Works But Was Missing A Screw.
It Works But Was Missing A Screw, See Picture. I Am Not Going To Send It Back, I Am Just Going To Find A Screw For It.
