Tips for you on using this dog bicycle leash 1. Remember never EVER run a dog under 1 year old (other than light fetching/playing), their bones aren't fully developed and it may cause issues later (ie ACL tears, weaker bones/muscles). 2. TRAIN your dog before assuming your dog will just get used to it. Walk with your bike, dog not attached (then attached) - use treats. Get on your bike and walk it slowly. Take the time to train your dog so it will be an enjoyable experience for everyone. 3. Don't push your dog beyonds its limits, one mile may be enough at first - 4 mph may be enough, don't force your dog to run too fast or too long. You may be able to do 5 miles, 20 miles or 100 miles - but your dog may be exhausted at 1, 2, 4. LIsten to your dog and be smart :) 4. Bring water for you AND your dog. Don't over water your large dog (beware of bloat). We just had a heat wave (over a week of 100 degree weather), and I did NOT run her during the day for more than a 1/2 mile (3x).

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT'S CHEAP CRAP. I've had it for about 2 months and been on 7 or 8 rides. Today it just fell apart. The threads inside BOTH the connection the bike and the connection to the handle are so shallow you can fit the screws in them without screwing them in. It's a screw job. Buy it and you are are screwed
