Alternative to BRH10 control for Sony Xperia XZ
I liked the fact that it paired nicely with my Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Now I have advancement and volume control of my 3D slide show without having to reach inside the VR headset to swipe the screen! I had used the Sony BRH10 control, but as those age the BRH10 seem to loose the ability to hold a charge. This game pad controller takes AAA batteries, no problems there. Once this is paired I simply set the sides switch to game mode and control the show with the joystick. It is thicker than the BRH10, Works well for my purposes. If you want to replace most of the functions of the BRH10 remote control, at a reasonable price, this is perfect.

Good idea, horrible quality - unusable
Very unreliable. I am not sure if it is shorting out or the antenna inside doesn't work, but the device keeps resetting every 2-3 seconds (you can tell when the LED light starts flashing). I was able to pair the controller, but then it disconnects 2-3 seconds later and then keeps connecting and disconnecting. I am sure that if it stayed connected, this would work very well because for the brief 2-3 seconds, it does show up as a USB controller. I believe this is a build quality problem.

It's okay it works not great
It works but not great for some games. Shows on YouTube or the box it came in wherever I saw it say it works with like Mario game platforms the best. I'm just not use to it.Money comes and goes but I like to try technology to configure with other devices. This is cheap the precious for movement in a game is not great with VR maybe. 😂 Cuz I found myself forgetting to use my had for the movement of turning the character. The game's name is hardcode VR.It is fun but works great with your Xbox controller Bluetooth connected to your phone and then the VR technology the goggles you know it works great with the Xbox controller cuz you got both assistance of two joysticks.Whole you only have one joystick with this device and the rest is just motion with your head with some people will get a kick out of this I'm just not cool ordinated to remember that my head is the other half of the motion which would be the right joystick on a Xbox controller that's what your head motion works for is like the right joystick while with the controller it's like to the left joystick on an Xbox controller. That's the best way to put it it's not a bad device but you just got to be coordinated with hard code VR I rather use my Xbox controller for that game it's more easier for me.Cuz your head works as a gyroscope for the motion for better aiming and it's a lot easier and it's hard for me 😂 these kids with their gaming they're really good at it. And me as an adult have a hard time keeping my tongue as a appropriate community setting because I forget to turn the voice thing off so no one can hear me get upset like dang it you got me but more words than that that's why I want to do good on voice chats I hate it it's funny though.Yeah I only gave it a three star because it's not the greatest product on market I'm sure.

Useful for flashcard app
Like many of the other reviewers, I use this as a controller for a digital flashcard app (Anki). My first one broke after about 3 months - when I would click the main button (the one you would use for advancing a slideshow), it would often send multiple signals, messing up my progress. I was annoyed with this and prepared to knock a star or two off (because it had otherwise worked very well and was very cheap) before I checked the app and saw I'd used it 75,000 times in that 3 months. So if you use it an absolute ton it will eventually break, but for the price I feel like 75,000 uses is pretty darn good.

Easy to use
I'm giving 4 stars because it's only meant for game console. I bought it to go with my game and it does not work like a thought it would.

A non-zero number of buttons work
The gamepad has a standard XY/AB layout. However, the keycodes that are sent for the A and B buttons are incorrect. A sends BUTTON_START, while B sends BUTTON_R1. To actually send the BUTTON_B you need to push the little power button, while the 'OK' trigger bizarrely sends both BUTTON_A and BUTTON_R2 (The X and Y buttons work correctly.) In other words, if your app requires pushing "B", pushing the button labelled "B" on this remote will not work. This matches a schematic in the manual so I don't believe this behaviour is a one off defect unique to the the unit I received.I gave the product two stars since I am using it for a flashcard app (Anki) and can work around these problems, it has lasted for over a month, and when I dropped it a few days ago I was pleasantly surprised to find it had not broken. However, if you instead to play any sort of game or do something more complicated than flashcards, you will find this remote unsuitable.

Avoid this white label product
Does not work what so ever. Cannot control the mouse on my desktop, unable to control phone, and it will randomly 'click' when it thinks I've pressed a button but in fact it's sitting on the desk a few feet from me not being used. Making a controller, no matter how crappy your skills are, would be better than buying this one. Break a 360 controller in half and it will still be better with half it's guts hanging out and sharp jagged edges. DO NOT BUY THIS, IT'S CHEAP CRAP
