The game offers a variety of breakfast foods ranging from bread and egg to a pepper, carrot and an apple. These can be taken apart to pieces by a "knife" which is provided with the set. The pieces can then be put together again as there Velcro attaching the pieces together. Slicing the Velcro apart makes a real sounding slicing sound which children perceive as an added bonus. Some of the vegetable can be cut into two, and some to as many as four. This advantage grows with the younger child and provides more of a stimulus for older children. The game is not only appropriate for children who haven't learned to use a real knife yet, but can be used for the purpose of teaching knife safety. The game is a three dimensional puzzle of everyday foods, it is made of wood and painted with dyes safe for children. This makes it possible for toddlers to experience the game using all the senses. Older children will appreciate roll playing games of preparing and joining in the meal/picnic. The colors of the picture are not exactly match the colors of the game.
