Very well made, very sturdy and quite heavy.I like the little pot of brass shavings for cleaning the iron, a nice touch and I'll not go back to a wet sponge again.Like it.

This only holds light/small irons. Useless for full size irons

I purchased a Pinecil to replace my work station style soldering system to save desk space. This soldering station is just as sturdy, if not more, than my old station and takes up half the space. It also has room for spare soldering tips or in my case soldering cartridges as used by the Pinecil. The solder holder is more stable than my old one and the solder tip cleaning sponge and tip cleaner is just as good as my old one which I loved. Even though I am using a Pinecil this soldering station would work great with any smaller solder iron.

FIrst off, I do really like this stand and would have given it a 5 star rating except for a couple of points for improvement. While it is fairly stable, it is made of plastic and I was concerned that it might tip over so I disassembled it and placed 8 ounces of lead stick on tire balancing weights inside. This gave it a very stable feeling and the placement was such that it was not top heavy. The other point is that I could not find "generic" small brass balls to have as a replacement for the one that comes with the unit (which is very nice). All that I could locate was their own replacement which cost a whopping $12 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081JQ2QKM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) .. For $12 you cold buy a dozen full size generic brass balls. Perhaps in time I will find them or might just cut down a larger one but sounds messy. Overall this will be my favorite stand as it has all of the features that you need while soldering without having multiple stands and containers.

I needed a soldering station for the occasional random jobs I need to do for my 3D printers. I had a junk "stand" that came with my soldering iron, but this one is much better. The fact that it includes the brass cleaner plus a sponge pad was a big plus! My iron doesn't fit it perfectly, but seeing that they are from different manufacturers that can be expected and overlooked.

I purchased a Pinecil, which is a great value, but needed a stand for it.This is similar to stands I have used in the past with traditional irons, holds the small sized iron well.10/10, would buy again and recommend for anyone looking for a stand to use with the Pinecil soldering iron.
