These little sponges are made to fit inside the humidifier for your guitar. Sponges work great as far as sponges go but the humidifier does very little good in raising the humidity level. So I suggest save your money and buy neither of them.

Best with distilled water to avoid developing mold.

The sponges are too small in order to keep a normal level of humidity inside your case. 45% to 55% of RH.If the heat is strong, like in my apt in NY, expect to have inside your case 35% of RH, it is not enough for your guitar. I had to add on the headstock an additional kitchen sponge in a zip bag. Of course I use only distilled water.

Very good and cheap

Great little replacement sponge for my cheap imitation sound hole slide in guitar humidifier. They are stiff and hard when you receive, but don’t “fret”…soak them in water for 30 seconds(just drop em in a couple inches of water)….and it’s magic! Strain till not dripping…Return sponge to your humidifying unit and “bobs your uncle”….done! Last a couple days to a week, and function great! Worth the $8 rather than trying to find genetic sponge and cutting…. Thank you
