Perfect, at a great price.
I ordered these to stick to the side of my fridge that is against the stove. I wanted to hang an oven mitt, and pot holder. They work absolutely perfectly and could definitely hold more weight on them.My fridge is textured too, and these hooks still do not slide. I ended up using the remaining hooks to hang 2 of my shorter, but bulkier utensils on because they seem make getting things in and out of the utensil caddy a hassle. These hooks are great. The color of them is a very pale gold or brass tone. Not a "cheap" looking brassy color at all and not too flashy either. They will easily blend with any surrounding. You could also spray paint them as well, if you'd like a certain color. They seem well made, especially for the price and the size is absolutely perfect. I didn't want something too big or bulky, but I also did not want them to be teeny tiny - these are perfect - just big enough to make them durable and useful. The magnets themselves are pretty strong and are very secure in the base.I like how the hook has a bit of a neck on it. It makes it a little more versatile and makes the items hang better on them. The hook part itself feels sturdy and secure - I do not worry about it snapping off.The base of the hooks are about the size of a quarter and just a little thicker than a quarter as well - maybe as thick as 2 quarters, give or take a hair or two.I am going to upload a pic or two of the hooks since there is only a drawing of them up there. I know that had me a little worried about ordering them, so maybe someone else will find it useful to have a pic of the actual product as well.5 star item based on quality, usefulness, and price. If I come across a need for hooks again, I will definitely be buying thse.

These used to be great hooks. The glue in the new ones is useless
Desperately needed - Update August 21, 2015Well, my hooks from the olden days are slowly dying. How so? Well, usually the aging glue gives up the ghost but that's easy to fix. Usually, old age afflicts the base of the hook where it screws in and it rusts out. Or the metal just fatigues. So I ordered six packs of 4 (24 hooks).I am suspicious. These are made in China. The price is awfully low. I already know what can go wrong. I have lots of relatives in China. I don't trust them or these hooks one bit.I hurl all 24 of these hooks onto a plastic covered portion of the pergo floor. Sure enough -EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE MAGNETS POPS OFF. I ponder hurling an old hook but it might be one I fixed with gorilla glue.Sigh.I have the Gorilla Glue and the plastic from the packaging all ready. Why it's almost as if I knew this would happen. The mended hooks sit nicely in the plastic. As if it'd been molded to fit. The sit nicely while the glue dries. The magnetic strength of the new vs. old hooks is close but the older hooks are stronger. The metal seems OK but I'm not holding my breath.Meanwhile about 50% of the original batch of hooks are still working fine. See original description below. These little magnetic hooks are the kind of quiet product that just do their job and get ignored. They are so under-appreciated! They are quite strong, work with any magnetic surface (fridge, stove, backs of medicine cabinets...); no drilling; so versatile!Do be careful. I've tried to slide these magnets on painted surfaces and ended up scratching the paint. The magnets here are sized for somewhat lighter objects meaning if you mount these on the fridge door, it will hold a set of keys, potholders or lightweight spatula but not a skillet (not even a small one, sorry). For those of you who have astutely observed the rated load is higher than the actual performance, that always happens when you mount the magnets sideways (like on a fridge door) but hang something and the force is directed 90 degrees downwards resulting in a shear force. It takes way less shear force to pull that magnet away. Sorry. That's physics for you. You'll want to test the type of metal surface you've got to make sure magnets stick. Keen observations suggest that higher quality (more rust-resistant & stronger) stainless steel alloys are not magnetic in spite of all that iron. And if you didn't enjoy the explanation about shear forces, you're gonna hate ferromagnetism.

A Great But Simple Product
Other reviewers who complained must have purchased a different version than this one or a different brand. These work just great. The magnets are very sturdy and hold a lot. I have even placed 2 skinny utensils on one hook and they don't budge-just hang there like they're supposed to. If you have an extra thick item, the actual hook part can be opened slightly to create a larger space to accomodate these-like a thick-handled veggie peeler. I bought 6 packages thinking a few would cheese out but such is not the case. All 24 hooks are on my frig and working just like they were designed. The rare and coveted FIVE STAR REVIEW! Highly recommended-buy these for a well designed and simple product that just does it's job.July 23 update: These things work so good that I just ordered 2 more packs of 4. My fridge will be so covered in magnetic hooks and kitchen utensils that I won't be able to find the handle. LOLAugust 1 update: I don't know what other people are using these for. My newest purchase has been used for utensils that seem to outweigh the maximum limit but they still perform perfectly. These won't hold 5 pounds but they will hold 5 ounces without a whimper. ANOTHER USEFUL HINT: If you have something that just won't go on and off the hook easily, try turning the hook to a ( + or - ) 45 degree angle from vertical. I will post some pics with other helpful hints,
