GREAT for Ending Bark Wars - Absolutely Does Work
For the last 12 years, we have been fortunate to live on a 2 acre corner lot, with an acre behind and a vacant house next door. We have 4 >>well-trained<< Cairn Terriers that have a quarter acre fenced in yard to keep them in, and keep other dogs, cats and such out. About 2 weeks ago, tenants moved into the empty house. Which is fine, we introduced ourselves, welcomed them to the "neighborhood" (we're semi-rural). It took 2 days to discover they were also pet owners. Two Chihuahuas. Utterly untrained, unruly, unsupervised, and constantly baiting our dogs, barking and yapping from their side of the fence. And the Barking Wars began. If we were outside, and a bark fest broke out, we would call our dogs up onto the deck, and reward them for coming when called. They do what we command because of training. People need to understand if they don't put in the time and energy to train their dogs to obey the most basic commands, they are doing their dogs, themselves, and everyone in the vicinity a HUGE disservice. We knew the new neighbors had not done anything resembling training their dogs. And we didn't believe it was fair to our Cairns to restrict them from roaming freely in their own yard. We purchased the BarkGuard Animon Bark Stop Classic. We read the instructions, set it for dog/cat and placed it on the back of our garden shed, facing the neighbor's fence, high enough so the ultra-sonic sound would pass above our dogs' heads, only affecting the neighbors' Chihuahuas. We ran an extension cord out, did the operations check, and set it to go off at barking, but silent all other times.IT WORKED. For two or three days, there were still bark wars; we'd call our dogs up on the deck, and ignore what little barking the Chihuahuas did after that. It's been about a week, and there are NO MORE bark wars. And when the Chihuahuas bark endlessly because they don't know what else to do, they do it as far from the fence as they can get. (Which is not a problem; they have more acreage fenced in than we do.) It does not make us happy we had to resort to a bark deterrent. We did ask the husband about "our dogs' barking bothering them" and he said they had no problem with the dogs barking, theirs or ours.We enjoy the relative quiet. We still have road noise, kids playing, and birds singing. This device is a godsend. We keep the peace with the new neighbors, because we have trained their Chihuahuas to refrain from barking by our fence. The barking is not the dog's fault if they have no training, no idea who's in charge. Please, people - if you're going to take on the responsibility of a dog, take the time to do a basic obedience class together. It will improve both your and your dog's quality of life immeasurably.

My neighbors have a German Shepherd and a Dachshund. They are neurotic. If I hold the device up to both dogs' faces through a chain link fence while they go ballistic, the device does not register the barking from either dog 24" away, so it does nothing in response to the barking. Yes I have the device bark sensitivity on 16 (highest). I contacted the seller and got a run around about returning it.I wondered why it wasn't working after a few weeks. It doesn't work.

Mult-use device
Hit and miss, I didnt have alot of success with it, now I use it as a motion detecting nite lite. I do like that it has multiple functions. Pest repulsion, motion detection..

No bite - all bark.
The product appears to have some affect for the first two or three days, then did not have any affect. Changed the battery - no difference. We returned the product as it did not perform as expected

Not Making a Detectable Difference
I don't think it is having any effect on my baying beagle. It may work on some dogs, but not him.
