Careful, it gets very hot!
Bought this for work, so usually other people use it to. The first time I used it I was expecting a whoosh of hot air, but it doesn't seem to blow as fast as my old hot air gun but it does blow very hot air! You can turn the temperature up and down with the dial on the back and it comes with a good selection of tools to fit the gun. So yes it's very good for what I use it for and adjustable too, and it's a nice bright colour so I can find it easily in the workshop. Just be careful as it definitely blows hotter than any hot air gun I've used before.

Heat gun
Very quick to heat up but takes ages to cool down. Almost need a heat shunt to cool it down.

Does the job I bought it for!
Does the job I bought it for, easy to use and I liked the variable heat adjustment, but use with care as they generate a lot of heat!

Bargain and saved me hours
Much better than paint stripper and should have bought one years ago

Poor build quality but works
On first use it went off like a confetti canon. You heard me right...The inside of the heat gun is full of shards of silver which i assume are a coating or part of the internal plastics from where it has been poorly made. Ive attached a photo of the bits that were in the box before i used it. Imagine that x20 flying out of a heat gunThe trigger at the back of the handle is also extremeltly poorly installed. Doesnt move very smoothHaving said that... it produces heat. So it does what its supposed to even though it was thrown together

Brilliant - both in power and colour!
This is a review of the Skotek Pro 2000W Heat Gun. It comes in a basic cardboard box (no storage case, so I will keep it in the this box until it falls apart!) together with instructions and set of alternative nozzles for assorted use plus fitted with a UK mains 3 pin plug. The first thing of course that hits you is the colour of this heat gun as it means you won’t lose it easily in a fog! The heat setting, by way of a dial on the back is consistent in use and goes from low to high in increments - the actual ‘pointer’ or maker is a small pointer at the top (12 o’clock position) and for my own use I have put a dab of black marker pen on it so it’s legible. The motor speed is controlled by the switch positions on the handle giving it two speeds - see photos - as in Off - 1 - 2. I will say that due to its variable heat control it’s a versatile tool as my last heat gun, different famous name brand, had only two heat settings so this is where this scores as its adjustable to the job in hand. I have just used it to bend some plastic piping and can’t complain as by trying it first of an off-cut, I knew what setting was best for the job. It boasts a max 2000 watts power and should suit many jobs or applications requiring such a power output. As for longevity its early days of course but so far I can’t really fault it plus the added bonus of a 2 year warranty.
