PLT 6 in. - Wall Wash with Metal Ring Trim PT25

Was tired of glare from recessed can flood style lights in living room. Decided to try this trim ring with an adjustable shade. By adjustable I mean it spins 360 degrees to aim the light. I measured my light cans and ordered the size to fit. Based on the photo (do not go by it) I thought it would fit, and thinking it just slipped inside the bezel I already had. Not so. It is a complete housing, that holds the shade free-floating inside it's bezel. Well made, all steel. It attaches by four large spring clips the kind a bathroom vent fan grille uses, only longer. My one unknown was how you install it and then get the bulb in past the shade. The reality is, I had to downsize my bulb from a large flood to the smaller size flood. This was not an issue for me as the lights illuminate DVD racks and wall art. I like them, super easy no-tool installation, all white, well made. Just remember, only small flood bulbs. Amazon really needs a better photo.

I have a sloped ceiling that has plywood screwed down on the attic-side so I had to put regular, low-profile 6" cans in the slope but the lights would shine in your eyes, which was not desirable. I had to install these over my original ones because my original ones held the bulb - and it worked just right after I took tin snips and partially cut my original ones so the spring retainers would go right through and would hold both recessed covers in place. They came out marvelous looking. I also got the BR25 LED bulbs on Amazon and they are as large a bulb as you can get in these fixtures (2.5").

For the price these are very well made. There is a felt gasket to block light leakage and the spring holds them very tight to the ceiling. The light deflector is rotatable. I used these with Halo Model E7RICAT fixtures. I also used typical A19 bulbs. I think they could accommodate bulbs that are slightly larger. The lights came in sealed bags labeled Nora lighting.

Didn’t solve my problem totally, but they work and are well made.
