Hem Gems for Temporary Hemming - Classic Rivet - Black Color

This product is a GREAT idea, but I just bought my second pair, and in less than 10 uses, the same thing happened with both pairs: one of the Hem Gems broke. They are basically like little tacks with a backing on them, like a pierced earring would have with a post. The backing has a disc-shaped piece that slides up and down; when you squeeze the Hem Gem against it, it releases the Hem Gem from it's own backing or from your pants. One of these in each of my sets broke...both times on my hems! I had to pry the piece off of my pants; thankfully, it didn't damage the fabric. I have gone back to using a safety pin on the inner cuff of one hem, and I had a couple pairs of pants hemmed so I wouldn't have to worry about getting these stuck on my pants.

These are so great for temporary hemming! They are also fashionable... and no one will ever know that they were just temporary! If you want to make your hem even better, take the time to iron your hem at the bottom of the jean/pant before you place these on... it makes for a sharper crease...

These work but are not something I would use all the time. I only put them on the sides and back because they lookeddumb on the front of my pants. At least I couldn't see the back. Maybe just my opinion.

I've used this product for several months now and wish I had purchased them sooner. Adjusting the length of pants with these "tacks" is quick and easy and has helped me travel with far fewer pairs of slacks or jeans.

I recently purchased my first pair of Hem Gems. They are a good quality product with solid packaging. I bought them with the intention of using them to temporarily shorten my pants so I can wear flats during my daily train/walk commute to work. And then change into heels once I arrive at the office.Yesterday was my use with them and I am thrilled. They are very easy to use and leave no lines/holes in my work pants once the hems are undone. I am so happy to have a solution for this age old problem. Thank-you Hem Gems. I will definitely be purchasing more and look forward to also being able to use them on vacation when walking around with longer jeans and flat shoes.

These work so well. I am glad not to have to choose which shoes I will wear with my jeans.

Just received this item. I could not get them off the card, followed instructions and they still wouldn't come off. Also, it appears they are not long enough to go through two layers of denium which I ordered them, to hem jeans. The idea is great, but not worth the effort or expense.

I did not like this product. It did not meet my needs but was not worth the hassle of returning.
