The customer service rep contacted me and was apologetic and offer to send me a new winder. Unfortunately I declined the offer since I am from Canada and it would be to much of a hassle to cross the boarder the 2nd time to pick up. She was nice enough to offer a partial refund for the purchase and I am satisfy with that. I am a light sleeper so the winder is currently sitting in my closet room. The construction is a but off as mine has some overlapping corners that aren't noticeable at and distantce until you go to open the lid, lines visibly don't match. Leather vynl is paper thin, not spu leather, not very durable and will pick up nicks dings and scratches somewhat easily. Made af soft wood and Plexiglas. Overall decent quality, if you want something cheap that looks good on a desk, motor is quiet and runs smooth.
