This steam shower is the one item in our just built home (Valley Fire Victims) that we decided to splurge on.. Installation was a bit harder for this item compared to the guest bathroom shower, so a call to the plumber was in order. Why wouldn't you pamper yourself in the privacy of your own home? Just sit back and reap all of the health benefits this beautiful spa has to offer! 5stars!

Impossible to call it a steam shower for one simple reason! This is NOT a fully sealed shower enclosure I am noticing several quality and design problems with this unit during a very careful installation. The whole material is made of either recycled or ;low quality material including PVC that I suspect NOT BPA free. (There are two villains here: a family of chemical compounds called phthalates that make PVC plastic soft (as in plastic shower curtains or wash-off baby books that go in bathtubs) and the industrial chemical bisphenol A (a hard, shiny plastic often used for baby bottles and sippy cups). Although the chemicals involved are different they have a similar effect, mimicking hormones. As they leach out of the plastic they feminize babies and small children. This leads to a variety of problems, including smaller penises as well as planting the seeds for cancer that can develop later in life.) These plastic materials in combination with steam heat can release their chemical compounds and cause permanent health problem. Comparing the price, the up and down to modify the drain system, and finally the end result this is nothing more than an headache that one shouldn't have to deal with. Although the bathroom is completely redone with green drywall then covered with cement board prior to doing the wall tiles, the chance of vaporized water getting between these materials is high, this means down the road we are creating good environment for mold and mildew. Since I couldn't see any possible way to seal off the steam and since there's no any health certification is in the package I am convinced only 10-15% to keep this product.WHY two stars? The two stars are given for its exterior look. NOTHING else.UPDATE: After tweaking with the drain line major problem I was able to resolve that with irrigation pump hose, however up on trying to finalize the installation I was surprised to see the hand rail on the right side mirror wouldn't fit simply because the hole was about an inch off. I am done with this product and its headache I already requested the return. This must be a bad lack!

Excellent works like a charm

Run away from this product ! I ordered two units and they both were very late arriving when we received the shipment both units had damage and one unit was not usable at all and we were refunded for that unit . These units look very nice and they do a good job advertising them but everything is very cheaply made and nothing works properly or last long . Our control board has a leak and now is shorting out which left the unit useless . Tried contacting their customer service to get a replacement and we were told we were already compensated by them refunding for the damaged unit . Beware of the cheap quality of this unit!

Very cheaply made, mostly out of plastic parts. Plumbing not upto code with cheap plastic pipes. Instructions are VERY poorly written and hard to follow. Not worth buying.
