After about two years of use, 2-3 times per week, it is starting to fray. But, IT WILL HOLD 855 lbs on shoulder shrugs - personal experience! The stitching on the Velcro aka "hook and loop" is starting to come apart and I will be in the market to but another as its nice to replace this about every four or five years.

Haulin Hooks work as advertised and were just what I needed to overcome a couple of places in my workout where gripping strength needed to be augmented. I especially like the loops to adjust the hooks depending on the size of user's hands. Great product imo.

the hooks fit all types of bars at the gym. and not a sloppy or tight fit but accuracy just right also works well on smith bars too " ones with the rubber on it" tighter fit but not to tight.hooks work with big or med hands the hooks move up and down in loops. so you can use your hands or fingers if you wanted to or had bigger hands than I.

This is the first pair of hooks that I have ever used, so I don't have anything else to compare with, but they are just awesome and perfect!!! I decided to start using hooks because while on an intense training that requested for me to do a lot of chin ups and pull ups, my forearms started to hurt really bad. With these hooks that problem has gone away. Another main reason for loving them is because now I can do dumbbell shrugs with more than 100 pounds. Before the hooks I had to stick to 70 pounds because my grip isn't that good yet. So, after sharing with you two real life examples where I told you when I love the hooks, now it is time for the why. Although they may look pricy, they are worth the investment. They are well built, they feel strong and durable. The option to adjust the location of the hook based on your hand's size is just perfect. In addition, the option to not use the rubber tubes is an absolute plus!!! In my case, the size of the gym equipment that I use just fits to the curvature of the hook, so I don't use the rubber tubes at all. I have seen other guys at the gym that have cheaper hooks and they have ended cutting out the rubber or not using their hooks at all because of that problem. The built-in straps are great too. You don't need an extra set of gloves, since you can use the straps when needed or just the hooks. It may take some time for you to find the proper way of managing the hooks when you are using the straps only, but that would not be a big issue... So, bottom line, I don't know how to train without these hooks, and I don't know why i didn't purchase them before. From the first set, you will love them and you will see great results in your physique because after using these babies you will do more reps and lift/push/pull more weight. I hope that this helps!
