Defiance - Collector's Edition - PC

the game itself was good. the storyline, graphics and music was very good.I had problems with the 3rd person perspective, I prefer to pan out farther and the way this games 3rd person was, was slightly behind and above the head. It felt more at times like a modified 1st person shooter.the learning curve is a bit longer than most games but its manageable, still felt abit clunky and could be a bit smoother. Im still not sure about a few things. the tutorial is informative to a point but does not cover a lot once you go out into the main part. it then becomes a self learned/taught thing.overall, I think the game is worth buying and trying out. not the collectors edition though.

Box received in perfect condition, INCLUDING all of the content that was promised. I am not going to give a lengthily game review on amazon, but it is worth mentioning that a previous review trolled out 1 star due to shipping/packaging issue - do not let this effect your purchase of the game. If forced to review the game in this early of play (have not played enough to give a detailed, proper review and the television interaction has not kicked off), I would still have to admit how much I would like to see the idea succeed. Sci-fi and MMO, nerds everywhere are salivating at the chance to put up their brown coats, douse light sabers, pack up their wow Pokemon and finally move on with life. (no offense intended, of course heheh)I believe it has the POTENTIAL, to be, a new light of innovation of crossing platforms of media. Lets all give a big geek high five to Marshall McLuhan, because the medium is the message, in this case he would be rolling over in his grave saying - I told you so, and yes its a good idea to try this new gaming/couch drama combo. IMHO, though, I am game for anything that progresses the gaming industry. I just hope it doesn't suck space balls. One more thing - get the word out on this game as well -[...] I am very interested in seeing this one develop - think wow+minecraft+halo = Starforge and let that tumble around in your nerd cranium (really check that game out btw - it looks like it could blow this one out of the water, er space, er frontier land - ah you get mah point. I really like Defiance's universe, the TV Show and the game itself. The game had great potential but sadly ruined by bugs, lack of communication which is the key thing in a MMORPG, and seem to be a little underrated.Pro:That being said, I got this Collector's Edition for $30 and was really impressive by its quality:- The box-case was nicely built, very sci-fi feel & look great to display.- The art book was nice with various of different contents.- The figure was very well made,beautiful painting and highly detailed.- Cool sound track CD.- I did not open the DVD game as I already own it long ago.- And don't forget the Defiance stickers, pretty cool.Cons:- The only con would be the game wasn't that great to many people, therefore effected this Collector's Edition values. Otherwise this Collector's Edition itself is really nice.Overall: I'm very satisfied with this Collector's Edition because of the contents it came with. (Especially the case and the figure)As someone who had been collecting action figures and statues, I would recommend this item to everyone. (Also the hell-bug figure look really cool when displaying with Borderlands figures as they somewhat similar to the bugs in Borderlands)

I paid 100.00 for this product the box arrived in poor condition and was missing the collectors edition art book that comes in box with both the limited edition and collectors edition I have tried to contact Trion in regards to the issue and they will not respond and they have no number to call about missing in box items.

Game is fun, addictive, and one of the better MMO launches of this decade. If you like shooters, aliens, and a great story then pick this game up now. First of it's kind to try a game and a show that run together. You get a week to finish up any story quests in game before seeing how it unfolds on the show, then you get another week to finish new quests. Tons of side missions will keep you busy for hours. ATV's, cars, buggies, and trucks are all there for you to own and drive all over the coast.It's not perfect, but what game is? No monthly fee, yet Trion pumps out constant updates and keeps in contact with it's user base constantly as well. Combat can be fun and also frustrating, it's a learning curve, but not a steep one.The Collector's Edition has some really cool stuff in it. The coolest being the Hellbug statue. If you like collecting items like this than you will enjoy the content included.

This game has great potential, it is overall fairly fun. The current # of bugs however makes some aspects very frustrating. I would say if you want this game, buy it in the next 6 months.

The game is cool and the extra pieces are spectacular!
