Paper Mate Mirado HB #2 Black Warrior Woodcase Pencil 24 count PAP2254

Someone recommended these pencils. I bought them hoping for a bit darker lead. They write the same as any generic pencil as far as smoothness and lead color being identical. Would not recommend spending more money on these. My HS son brought home a Ticonda (sp?) black pencil, and I would say that it wrote more smoothly.I cannot review as of yet if the lead is any sturdier than others suggested.Update: Nothing special about these pencils from other no2 pencils. The lead does not seem any stronger than others when writing/breaking/sharpening.

These are my favorite pencils. I have used this brand for years and love the way they glide across paper. They last forever and have good erasers, too!

These used to be the best pencils. Now they’re cheaply made but charge the same expensive price of the old high quality pencil. The lead isn’t centered, the pencil isn’t straight and the black paint isn’t glossy anymore, it’s some cheap matte black. I’ll be buying Ticonderoga’s next time.

I used these at the office. I missed them at home and I am glad I got them. The shipping was a bit slow.

They write very well but don't stay sharp for relatively long. The graphite goes pretty soft right away and for some reason, these break every time I try to sharpen them. Probably won't be buying again.

I won't write with a pencil unless it is a HB #2 Mirado Black Warrior. Even then it has to be very, very sharp. So you need the STAEDTLER pencil sharpener available on Amazon to keep that point sharp!

Smooth and dark. Excellent pigment consistency. Erasers are sufficient and... I don't know what else to say about pencils. These ones are my weapon of choice for quick sketches.

I bought these for my 4th grader who likes her homework and schoolwork to look neat. I was impressed by the reviews saying that the teasers are so good. Unfortunately my daughter is not thrilled with the eraser and is using a separate one instead.
