I only gave it 4 stars for this reasoning: we have a memory foam type mattress and it actually made it a little more "firm". This is fine for me as I like a firmer mattress, but for a memory foam type mattress, it will alter the softness of it and you will not "sink" into it as before. I would assume all mattress protectors would cause this same issue.

Purchased this mattress protector for my new king size memory foam mattress. I make purchases only after researching the products I am considering and reading reviews of said products. I have $455 silk sheets over this mattress protector and can not tell it is even there. 5 stars...product was / is as advertised and meets my expectations

Wow did we sleep hot with the protector on our new memory foam bedAlso it trapped a very odd gross smell in the mattress ..so it must not be breathable like it claimed...so over all very unhappy, asked for a full refund
