Would buy again if needed.
Pros: 2ft USB 3.0 cable allows more flexibility than a ribbon cable of other risersCons: Power cable may be short depending on usageOther thoughts: I used this to move my sound card away from my GPU fan to the bottom PCI slot of the case as my motherboard's PCIe setup is slightly weird along with the sound card being finicky with PCIe ports it wants to work correctly with (see below), and the USB 3.0 cable was long enough to do so, even from the PCIe x1 slot above my video card. I ended up having to use a Molex extension cable instead of the SATA-to-Molex adapter provided as I did not have a spare SATA power connector within the reach of the adapter's length. The sound card was essentially suffocating one of the two GPU fans as it was no more than 5mm away, and while the GPU temperatures were fine, it just didn't sit right with me. The soundcard is too long to fit in the PCIe x1 slot as the northbridge heatsink sits not too far away, and while I have four other PCIe x16 sized slots, two of them are "tied" to the PCIe x16 slot the video card is in (which eventually causes the sound card to malfunction and output a vexing screech), one sits underneath the GPU heatsink, and the other directly under the fan card for my GPU heatsink.I am quite happy with this purchase and will eventually modify my case to properly mount the riser card, but for now it will "float" as it does its job.

these finicky things made me believe the cable sucked. I now know it was the motherboard being ...
I almost gave this thing 1 star, until I realized that my motherboard h81 pro btc was going from motherboard onboard video to pcie-video in ubuntu. Additionally since the h81 pro btc motherboard has 6 pcie slots, the only video card I found to display out to hdmi would be the very last video card to the right. these finicky things made me believe the cable sucked. I now know it was the motherboard being a little complex and that the video does indeed display via usb 3.0 cable..wow!!! I've been into pcie and gpu usage since early 2013. Figuring this out took isolation of the pcie video, 1 by 1.

The only one that really works!
This was the only thing that finally allowed me to fit 3 graphics cards in my case. I had previously bought extender ribbons called "risers" but they weren't long enough. This cable is long enough that you can put your card almost anywhere in the case. It worked perfectly and was compatible with Ubuntu Linux.

Solid & Stable
I've purchased several of these. All but one worked flawlessly. The return process was simple and no hassle. Even got a follow up from the vendor. I'll be buying more.

Great quality, best PCIe risers out there.
The quality of these risers is way much better than those straight grey risers you see everywhere. Very long cables for easy installation outside your main pc frame.
