Sarah Records was never about perfection...simply sleepy and dreamy
Love the first track 'Obsession No.1' with the echoed out guitar & killer lyric "I hate your body...i hate your mind, so unkind". With the title track the electro ravelike hints of earlier times (the eighties) set in and climax with 'A Living Ken and Barbie'. Then two great songs 'Beautiful Liar' and 'A Kind of Eden' where Pauline takes over the microphone on the latter...a bit like Everything But the Girl. Overall a very slow lazy feel to the disc with lovely track 'I Was Just Dreaming' but then ending with off maybe one too many eightieslike ballad keyboard tunes 'Between Sleeping and Waking'. Other than my dislike of keyboards and drum machines this album is perfectly lazy and heartfelt.
