While not for use with shod horses unless used in conjunction with round bale feeder ring either plastic or metal, the Heavy Duty Cinch Chix slow bale feeder is completely safe for use with horses because the holes are too small to get caught in. Univeristy Of Minnesota test (2012) of round bale feeding showed conclusively that Cinch Chix round bale feeders allowed horses to have a grazing effect and to save up to 57% hay from being wasted. The Heavy Duty Dupont fiber is extremely strong and abrasion resistant and UV treated against sun rays. Because of the Heavy Duty DuPont fiber, the slow feed round bale hay net will wash up.
