It will chip and possibly break if not treated with care. Look for something with 1070 or 1095 steel if you want a battle ready sword, if you want 1060 steel, you can get a katana for $40, not this rip off **Q: How durable is this sword? I saw the video of the guy cutting cylinder blocks.** A: Never fight with a katana or a wakizashi metal on metal. Practise with bamboo, straw human figures, or melon's. This like all American sword's aren't tempered like the more expessive Japanese katana's and wakizashi's. You get what you pay for. I hope this helps. **Q: Is this sword full tang?** A: Full tang, absolutely beautiful, well built sword, scabbard is a little tight **Q: How long is it?** A: It is 33 inches overall with a 22 1/2 inch blade ## Frequently Bought Together - Honshu Boshin Midnight Forge Wakizashi | 22 1/2" Black 1060 High Carbon Steel Blade | Textured TPR Handle Grip | Steel Guard and Pommel | Wooden Scabbard | Modern Take on The Wakizashi | 34” Overall - Boshin Midnight Forge Katana with Scabbard – Black 1060 High Carbon Steel Blade, No-Slip TPR Handle, Wooden Scabbard – Ergonomically Designed for Modern Warriors - 40 3/4" Overall - HONSHU Midnight Forge Tanto Knife with Leather Sheath - Stainless Steel Blade, TPR Handle, Steel Handguard, Special Edition, United Cutlery, Makes a Capable Hunting Tool - Length 16 3/4" --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/373189042-honshu-boshin-midnight-forge-wakizashi](https://www.desertcart.be/products/373189042-honshu-boshin-midnight-forge-wakizashi) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
