Excellent choice for me!
Got a bed frame from a friend, but no brackets for the footboard. Went to the hardware store, bought some slotted angle iron, some T braces, and misc. hardware to fashion my own brackets. They came out ok, but the footboard was a bit shaky, and I wasn't really happy with how they looked. After some months I decided, on a lark, to look and see if there were any brackets on the market, and was pleasantly surprised at what I found. After looking at all my options, I chose this particular set (mostly based on price), hoping it would be a good fit. When I received it, I was impressed with the quality - welds are good, paint was good, metal was same gauge as the frame. Removed my old setup, and was pleasantly surprised to find this set was an exact match for my frame and footboard. Once installed, my footboard is no longer shaky, and it looks better, too. No drilling or grinding necessary. I would highly recommend this kit, as the multitude of boltholes should fit almost any setup.

Worked great for converting crib to full size bed!
This was a perfect product. We wanted to convert a Storkcraft crib to a full size bed. We bought a regular bed frame for $25 but it only took a headboard. We got this extension and it worked perfectly. My son now has a full size bed with a headboard and footboard and we didn't have to pay $900+ for a new 3 piece bed set.

Installed relatively easily onto my bed frame using the material providing in the package. Minor difficulty tightening the nut onto the carraige bolt because there wasn't a slot to hold the bolt. The extenders were well made and very sturdy. 4 stars vice 5 was because of the problems getting the carraige bolts tight.

Works good but the bolts stick out
This does it's job well. I used it to attach my current bed frame to a vintage head and footboard. The negative, the bolts do stick out a bit on the frame which I don't like. I'm worried my little boy may scrape his leg on it getting into bed at some point. I've got a bed skirt over it to help, but have considered gluing something over the bolt to pad it a bit more.

Holes were too high. I had to drill new ones in order to get my son's bed to line up.

thus rendering it useless. So
Holes do not align with the holes on our bed frame. They only align when the pieces are end-to-end. But once you stack them together, the extender holes move higher by just enough that the bed frame holes are inaccessible, thus rendering it useless. So, I'm ordering a brand with oval shaped holes that are sure to align. If you have just the right frame, it would probably work nicely. But do you want the gamble?

Great! Purchased these extenders to lengthen my existing metal frame and attach a footboard. They were easy to install, came with all the hardware, and fits the frame perfectly.side note: If you have an older bed which uses hook style slat rails and find its too high with the new mattress, then this is the easiest fix. I had purchased a 4 poster rice bed and once we installed mattress and box springs, we decided that 47" at top level was too high for guests to climb up into bed. Looking for a solution, I purchased a metal frame which lowered the bed to a normal height, but no way to attach foot board. this item solved all the problems.

Simple and Easy
Simple and easy to attach. However, you will need to drill holes in your existing bed frame. But when properly attached, you can now attach a footboard to your bed frame.
