Dorman 902-3036 Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Assembly Compatible with Select Models

Easy install and it’s still working after a couple months!

I used this on my 2011 VW Routan and it worked great. It resolved my P0128 error and the fit was good. I was a little worried about messing something up doing it myself, but after watching a few YouTube videos, it really wasn’t too difficult. Glad I gave it a shot instead of paying a lot more for a shop repair.

Exact replacement for factory thermostat 15" Dodge Journey SXT 3.6. While you have the cooling system open best to go ahead with flushing and replace with new coolant.

Price wise, coupled with Prime, the value on this thermostat is great. I had purchased one almost exactly a year ago for my Avenger which at the time had around 50k miles. Unfortunately, the same issue arose early October of 2023 and I bought another to replace (now 65k miles). I have no issue spending ten bucks to replace the part but the bolts that hold it in are not easy on a compact engine bay such as the Avenger. I would imagine that something with the same engine, such as a Grand Caravan, would be marginally easier to install. Not the fault of Dorman that its tight to install. Will buy again if needed.

Got check engine light (CEL) on. Code stated issue with thermostat. Ordered replacement part for less than 20. Saved over 250+ Vs shop asking price. Once you check tutorials on YTube, replacement is fairly easy. Worst part is "burping" coolant system once repair is done and add new coolant (takes most time). I used a funnel type kit sold here and worked well. Had to check coolant level multiple times that day, and every day for a week to add coolant. So far I have no leaks, engine temperature is in normal range, plus my CEL light remains off. Hint: if CEL doesnt turn off by itself once repair is done, turn off CEL by disconnecting battery NEGATIVE terminal for 60 seconds. So far it has been a great replacement. Recommended!

Looks just like the original. Gasket already installed. Fixed low temp code on 2013 chrysler town and country.

My husband just replaced the old thermostat in our Dodge Caravan, and the new part fit perfectly. After the installation, the coolant leak stopped, and the engine temperature has remained stable. This replacement was fully compatible with the Caravan's system. If your old thermostat is leaking or cracked, I highly recommend this replacement; it’s definitely worth it.

Bought product to be pre-emptive, as a spare.

I bought this I thought it’s faulty because of noise that comes on shaking it, when I was about to install it the mechanic told me that even the original product does the same it’s sounds like there is a free wheel moving inside.

A mirror image to the orginal. Was very easy to install, and also came with a gasket which sealed it up nice and tight. Works perfect, well made product, well worth the affordable price that it was selling for.

I recently bought this product and it was perfectly fine no issues. However, I ordered another part and this one seems to have a crack around the bleeder. It is not the bleeder itself. It's the housing that is leaking.
