Recommended by my husband's Lyme disease doctor. We. Have a huge tick population where we live. I made 6 kits: took specimen cup and inside I placed the tick key and alcohol wipes. I also placed the key instructions along with directions to save the tick in the cup with an opened alcohol wipe (which will kill the tick). Take the container to your doctor, they are now able to test ticks for different viruses and parasites which will help them determine appropriate treatment.

I recommend this product to EVERYONE!
I recently invested in a Tick Key and it works amazingly! I now have flea and tick collars on my two wiggle butts, but for a time I didn't and my male boxer had two that was basically stuck together and I used the tick key and it got them both out on the first try. Heads 100% still in tact. I am 100% happy with this purchase. I was able to keep one and give my five family members their own to keep with them. I am definitely recommending this product to everyone!

Ineffective for removing deer ticks.
Unfortunately, I was not able to remove a deer tick with this tool. If the "V" shape had been 'tighter', I am sure it would have worked.I really wanted this to work! I bought the 6-pack, hoping to give 5 out as gifts, but had to return it since it didn't work.It may be effective for larger ticks, but not the small deer tick.

A necessity for hiking
These work great. A little pricy but worth it. I carry them everywhere as they are fairly small. I use them while hiking and my wife uses them at the barn for her horse. I have ordered these several times and given them to hikers on the AT.

If you spend any time in the woods you need this !!
This is great for pet and human alike! I use it personally for myself and have given them as gifts to others who also love their ease of use. probably the best feature is that there is NO SQUEEZING of the tick ! This is important because you don't want to squeeze any pathogens (Lyme's, etc) in to the host (pet, human, other). Also when you slip this under the tick it helps to 'unstick' them from the skin and the gentle lift/pull insures that you get the entire tick... without ever touching it or squeezing it !

Nothing better
This is not our first purchase of this item. We first purchased the Tick Key about 2 years ago. It worked so well removing ticks from our Cats that I ordered another 8 of them, 3 for around the house and 5 for co-workers I had told about it. Some folks say just to use tweezers but there is some truth to the fact that when you squeeze the tick with tweezers you are forcing the contents of the tick into the host. I'm not taking chances. For the price of the tick key, I'll always have it around.

Simple, effective, and about $75 cheaper than a trip to the walk-in clinic.
I ordered the 6-pack in order to share with my outdoorsy family members. Not a week went by before my husband had the opportunity to use the Tick Key he had stashed in his golf bag. He was able to remove the tick quickly and completely. The last time he had an embedded tick he went to a walk-in clinic and paid a doctor to do what he would have been able to do himself if he had had a Tick Key.

Easy, fast
I used it for the first time last night. Holy cow was that so much faster and easier than tweezers. My vet recommended it because it's what he uses. I am soooooo glad I bought these. I put one in with my camping stuff, one on my keychain and gave away one so far. I'm a huge fan now. I worked just like a bottle opener. Popped right off. There was a flake of skin still in it's mouth and just a drop of blood on my dog. Not like when I had to fight with tweezers.

It Works!

Fantastic and good value
Perfect, all set for next hiking season with enough to go in camping gear hiking gear and on keys. Had a friend using these multiple times during this years hiking season especially on our dog. They work brilliantly.

Havnt had a need to use this it looks good and a good thing to have on hand. Got one on my key chain 1 at home n gave others to friends
