Works well but would be handier with a mic
Needs a microphone, but am using Voicemeter software to route sound out to dual devices including this one. The connection between the RGB cable and the board could be improved. Overall though works as expected.

Fantastic LED Lightshow!
This is a great addition to any music system. This well-designed board drives 60-180 LEDS - the individually addressable WS2811/2812/2812b LED strips - which are easily found on Amazon.You need to solder three wires to connect the LEDs (not included); and, you provide your own cables and power (5V 2A).After that, it's fun-fun-fun. There are several different settings - my Fav is "Pulse" with a 7-band frequency analyzer changing the LED colors.The first unit I rec'vd was DOA - but there was great customer service from Nootropic and a replacement arrived within a couple of days.

Works great!
This thing is so wonderful. I used it to power side-emitting strips of neopixels that I epoxy'd into channels in a boombox that I built. The boombox contains an automotive Android head unit and car amplifier. The Lumazoid's audio input is connected to the line-out of the Android head unit with a headphone amplifier inline so I can get a light show even at lower volume levels. I modified the Lumazoid so I can use external buttons and pots to select and adjust the light show from outside the boombox. I've used it all summer long, indoors and out and everything is still working great!

Works great, but could use a case
Works great after a dozen event uses. That being said, I would have loved a case being offered with this.

Waste of time and money
Went through 3 of these, all quit within a day. Super cool idea and i absolutely loved it when it worked but they just shut down for some reason....
