I've been fascinated with Neurofactor, the clinically studied coffee cherry extract, since I first came across the clinical trials done on it. In two studies done on humans, it's been demonstrated that just 100mg of Neurofactor increases BDNF by nearly 150%. BDNF stands for brain derived neutrophic factor, and is the cognitive enhancing / antidepressant chemical that gets released during exercise, from healthy eating and consumption of stuff like curcumin, green tea, and blueberries. Basically, BDNF is incredibly important for your brain, and so increasing it 150% is a big deal.Ginkgo is a much more researched ingredient, and has shown a lot of benefits ranging from blood flow improvements, to memory enhancement, and also showing BDNF increases (but much less impressive than with the coffee cherry extract). The two ingredients combined should have very nice synergy, and this is a smartly formulated supplement. In my opinion, it could benefit from some additions like fish oil (for the DHA), as well as other more proven cognitive enhancers like bacopa.Effects:Very subtle effects, but I have noticed slightly increased mood and a bit more mental clarity. It seems to help clear up brain fog a bit, and prevents mental fatigue from long demanding tasks. Not everyone will notice benefits from this, but that doesn't mean it isn't benefiting your brain. I also really recommend combining it with regular cardiovascular exercise, even just walking would work.Thoughts:This is a great supplement, and I recommend it just for the 100mg daily dose of Neurofactor alone. Ginkgo is a very cheap and widely available supplement, so it's not a huge addition to this, but the neurofactor is very interesting and the 150% increase in BDNF is quite impressive and very few other supplements have come close to showing that kind of effects.

Product came broken

I've been interested in nootropics for several years.Gingko biloba has long been used for many things from inflammation to brain health, and coffee bean extract has been studies pretty extensively lately for its positive effect on cognitive functions.So to have both of these together in one supplement was of interest to me, but that the supplement comes from Dr Mercola, who has been at the forefront of cognitive health, was reason enough for me to try it.I do not have any cognitive issues other than occasional tip-of-the-tongue syndrome, but I have noticed that answers come a little more quickly when watching Jeopardy - lol. I'm not sure that this supplement is the reason, but it certainly seems as though it has not hurt!I have taken gingko biloba in the past and was somewhat unconvinced that it did anything for me, but I do think that there is something to this combination with coffee bean extract that is noticeable.

Cost is 83 cents per day. Take only 1. So, I'm not going to try it because my doctor has forbidden me to have caffeine.Read the label to ensure you can have the ingredientsMercola is dedicated to bringing a very high quality product in a method that is highly accessible to most body systems - I've followed his ideas for a long while and have found his products to be above excellent quality. But the price is often much more than more general quality.

I wasn't familiar with Dr. Mercola before trying this product, but I'm very familiar with Ginkgo Biloba as a supplement for mental focus, and it's a favorite of mine. I've tried lots of formulations of this herb in the past, and find these capsules to be very effective for me when I need to get work done and cut out distractions. The addition of coffee fruit extract synergizes nicely with the Ginkgo, but it still doesn't feel overly stimulating or jittery like other supplements containing caffeine tend to.The capsules are small and easy to swallow, and the price point is completely fair for a supplement with as noticeable an effect as this one has for me.
