Taming Your Photo Library With Adobe Lightroom 1st Edition

Post production has become as much fun as taking the photographs, thanks to Lightroom. Though I also use several other programs for development, LR is still my favorite. However, the one area that I have always been confused with is the library module. Organizing is not my strong suit, so I've struggled to set up a system that works easily. Having years of old images in various places does not help.I've tried learning from various books and videos, but they all seem to gloss over this important step, the first step of getting organized. In the first ten pages, I felt this book was already worth the price.

I am an experienced Lightroom user and still found many good tips. In addition, there are quite a few sections that I will use as a reference. For example, how to split off a small version of a large catalog. Many users do not understand or appreciate how important it is to have a good, well organized structure beneath Lightroom on your computer. This book will show you how and why you should.

Best instructive narrative for the person who needs help on setting up Lightroom, not operating it. Seems there are about 500 books on Lightroom how but few truly helpful ones on the set up of your Lightroom. And Lightroom support people have not been as helpful as this volume.

Best book I've seen on the subject of Lightroom Library! Finally, I understand the complexity of this baffling software!

I wish all my friends had read the 1st chapter or two before they started using lightroom.
