Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Silicone Spiral Spring Nut Cracker Works in Seconds,2-Pack

First of all, it doesn't look exactly like the picture. The legs are black, as is the base that the nut sits on, making it look cheap. Base is thin hollow metal. I thought it would be solid metal for giving the nut a good hard pound. Secondly, though it will crack a walnut pretty well, it will not crack a brazil nut even after 5 hammerings. Same with a pecan. And, in spite of what they says, it does make a mess. Little pieces escape and fly everywhere. On the plus side, it's cheap. And it cracks walnuts.

Really didn't work well!

Due to a disability, I have real problems cracking pecans. Since I have a huge pecan tree in my front yard, I've been searching for the perfect one handed nut cracker & I found it in this product. In full disclosure, I have to wear an oven glove so it doesn't hurt my hand when I hit it; but, that is the ONLY drawback to this item. I love the way it covers the nut so the shells aren't flying around the room as I'm cracking!!!
