Kennedy Home Collections Vinyl Zippered Mattress Cover - Full

I bought this for potty training time. I wanted something I didn't have to machine wash, where I could just take the bedding off to wash as needed. I had tried a few mattress pads than had a vinyl/plastic lining, and the vinyl just ripped in the wash after one or two washes.It went on easily enough, didn't rip, and seems to be holding up even with a 3 year old who tosses and turns and likes to jump on the bed when mom isn't looking.It seems to be made of medium grade vinyl, like you'd find in a hospital bed. MUCH better than the flimsy plastic ones I found at T a r g e t or W a l m a r t.It did have a strong "rubber" odor when I first opened it but I was expecting as much so I put it on in the morning and it was gone by the time I made the bed at night. I do have it covered with a cloth mattress pad and a sheet, and don't hear any crinkling when I lay down. It also doesn't let any liquid seep through, AT ALL.So far, so good and a much easier alternative to garbage bags under the sheets!++++++Edit made on 5-20-12++++++I've purchased two of these, one for a "2/3" bed, one for a king size bed. For the 2/3 bed, I had to order a full, since it's a bit bigger than a twin....that one is still holding up GREAT. The one for the king size bed? Not so much, I finally took it off today after the tears became too big. It started to rip the first day I put it on, and just tore more and more. If you need this for say, potty training, go one size up, if you don't mind the excess hanging off. This is not going to work as a permanent solution, but for a few months, it does the trick, IF you order one size up

Here in NYC, we are surrounded by a wide variety of disgusting critters... great and small.If I had MY way, I'd throw a huge Mattress Cover over the whole freggin' town !!Anyway - this product is great and gives you real piece of mind when sleeping ....

just ok...hope it holdup. time will tell if it can be handled with the flipping and turning the mattress every three months.....hope so

only 10 inches deep accomadated today most mattresses are 12 to 16 inches cant use dissapointed wont send back costs too nuch feel screwed since did no say how deep
