workbook
My daughter loves workbooks. She is five years old. There were some sections in this book that were a little too easy for a child her age, but it was good review. And, of course, she didn't mind that a few pages were really easy for her. It covers a lot of material, but only spends a couple pages for each topic. It's not too in depth but it gets the gears going and gets them thinking. The thing I liked most was that the activities were different...Each page had a different activity. Sometimes she had to color things, sometimes she had to draw, sometimes it was tracing numbers, etc. The activities/pictures were big and clear so she didn't get confused much, even on sections that she hasn't learned yet, like telling time or counting money. My only complaint is I wish it were longer. It was definitely a good price, though, and worth it! I would definitely recommend this workbook to any parents of kids ages 3-6.

Fast paced
I purchased this for my five year old (homeschooled). The concepts were pretty self explanatory. She blows through the work since each pages usually only contains a few problems. I do wish that there was a little more review or assessment at the end of each unit. This book would be ideal more for a beginning of the year kindergartener versus an end of the year one. Overall, I'm content with the book, but it isn't going to last her very long.

A good Supplement for kindergarten; not a *whole* curriculum.
I purchased this hoping it would be adequate as a math curriculum for my 4.5 year old pre-K/K home-schooling daughter. While there is nothing really wrong with the activities in this book, there is not much (if any) repetition of concepts. I will say that the worksheets inside are cute and eye-catching and thorough. If you are looking for a bunch of extra worksheets to supplement public or private school, or in addition to a homeschooling math curriculum, this book is great! For now, we are using this and supplementing with practical math (counting, sorting, cooking, etc.) and Kinder printable worksheets that are free online.

Homeschooling PK
I am using this a math work book for Pre-K. I wouldn't call this Kindergarten for a homeschool, the concepts are much to simple, and then it jumps right into addition and subtraction. But as a primer for a preschooler (just turned 4 this week) who has basic number concepts down, but isn't ready for heavy duty addition/subtraction (other than 2+2, etc.) it's fine. I'm using this before we start ABeka first grade.

Great Curriculum
This would be a great home school curriculum if anyone is looking for one. I used the first part of the book to give my daughter a jump start on her Kindergarten year. I am glad that I did. I will use the book to suppliment her schools curriculum which is actually Abeka but this will work well with that curriculum

Not that Good for More Advanced Children
The math book was laid out fairly well, but it was too short. There weren't very many problems on each page either. I have a four year old daughter and she had already mastered everything in this kindergarten math book. It only took her over a little over a week to finish the book. It would be good if you have a preschooler just learning these concepts or a very quick review for a kindergartener.

Great series of math books.
I love the books published by Spectrum. They provide practice for students that is standard aligned. Most of the practice pages also include handy reminders for parents so they can help their lil ones. As an elementary math coach I have not found a better series that provides quality practice of math standards for the price.
