Sturdy, Affordable, Functional, and Easy
Iโve bought a variety of Amazon Basics products but nothing quite like this. Although Iโve had good experiences with Amazon Basics I was still a bit skeptical about a wall mount. Fortunately this has lived up to the quality I expect from Amazon products. I havenโt mounted many TVs or monitors before but by comparison this was as easy or easier to setup. Youโll need all the same tools like a stud finder, a drill, a level, and a screw driver but it all went up very quick. What I really like about this is how easy it was to literally attach my monitor to the mount arm. Some other mounts have somewhat harder connection points to line up but this was as easy as just hanging the monitor with attached mounting plate to the arm. There is just a simple hook to hang on the arm and then a screw you can attach to the bottom to secure your monitor or tv. As long as your properly connected to the studs the mount feels solid and I donโt notice the arm flexing at all under the weight of the monitor. The arm extends to where you want it and stays where you need it. Overall itโs been great and for the price this is another Amazon Basics product I can happily recommend.

Cheap and a pretty intuitive design. Don't be afraid to buy this and install yourself!
Okay so this review isn't going to be super in depth. It's mainly to help people understand why they should get it and a little bit of instruction. I bought it mainly because, at the time, it was cheaper than every other one and it's design appealed to me. And everything was as advertised! Installation was easy (disclaimer--I like to build things). The instructions are easier to understand than other instructions I've read (though I still found myself re-reading the same instructions a couple of times to make sure). If you have never installed one of these before, the fear of your nice TV dropping will be there unfortunately. But, if you do the part where the anchor is installed correctly, IT WILL WORK. I stress that to give others confidence. That said...did I poke more holes than I needed to? Yes. Did I keep on checking to see if the TV moved a little after a day, week, and month and a few months had passed? Yes. In short, I really think this type of TV mount, needs to be used more often--mine is a 55 inch and I know that most people get this size when they get a big TV. The other stud-based anchoring types are the ones I see everyone use and it's a much harder install if you don't have a stud finder. If you've got drywall and you're afraid of the studs not being at the proper place to center your TV, buy this. Tools needed: Flat/Phillips Screwdrivers Level (The ruler with the bubble in the middle) Stud finder (you can also knock on the wall--go to Youtube to learn) A cheap drill Pencil for markings. Time needed: 20-45 minutes. Things to note: Sometimes your drywall won't be completely flat. This may affect the wall mount being able to "lay flat" on the wall. Don't worry, the wall mount will still work even if it's not flush against the wall. Just make sure you install everything according to the instructions. It's been a year and my 55 inch tv has not moved an inch!

Purchasing my 3rd one. Hands-down, best on the market.
Extremely easy to swivel, but it's also very sturdy and reassures you how safe it is with the built-in leveler. I think a lot of people don't realize how badly they need a swivel mount until they get one. It's practically impossible to ever change your HDMI, audio, or Roku/Streaming devices. After ten years of having one of the older ones that isn't this, we're painstakingly pulling it off the wall and throwing it in the trash after assembling 2 of these already. A third one (the 32-to-80-inch) is on the way. We had the "top seller" one to save a few bucks but that doesn't have motion. It's awful. You need a specific screwdriver to swap out a new television (or repair it), it's burdensome, and you can't reach any of the HDMI or ports. You're also terrified if your wall is going to fall off. You're going to be swearing up and down with your phone's flashlight trying to figure out where the hell any of the parts are in a half inch of space. Seriously, at least 100 times of trying to get back there and using every colorful word I could imagine with those non-swivel things. This one has extremely fluid motion, but stays still. The TV only moves when you want it to move, and stays perfectly still when you leave it alone for 15 months. Assembly is always scary at first for every wall mount (you're drilling holes into your building's structure for a 100lb television to not crack anything), but this is easily the cleanest install. After owning the other one for 2 years, I had forgotten how to do it again. But it was hanging up within the hour. If you're a first-time wall mount installer, read every direction extremely carefully. I think a lot of the 1-stars here got a little too gungho and just started drilling without actually mapping where it was going to go and how much space they needed.

Oddly didn't fit my TV..
I bought this on a daily deal in preparation of buying a 65" TV. After getting my 65" LG I set about installing the bracket. I want to point out that this is a well designed and sturdy bracket, a modern TV is much lighter than expected, but I have no doubts this bracket will hold the rated weight with the expected safety margin. I was very surprised to see that my TV had such a small mounting hole pattern, great I won't need adapter "wings", I can use the main plate. I selected the correct screws from the huge selection supplied however while the width matched one of the hole pasterns in the plate, the height did not. This required me to drill extra holes and use a combination of the "wings", spacers and extra hardware. I got there in the end, but honestly looking at the selection of screws, plates and such I found it had to imagine a TV this wouldn't work on. So my advice; if you can investigate the mounting holes prior to using this bracket: It is geared for hole patterns that are wider than tall. Mine were just about square, The "wings' are meant to extend at an angle away from the main plate as well, so they do not work for simply a wider or taller reach, they need to be wider and taller. It's possible the unit sized for 55" max would have worked, both from the mounting set up and due to my TV being light for it's size, but I would never purchase or suggest the purchase of an "undersized" mount. Pros: Built to a very high standard, excellent value for money. Very sturdy, good welds, thick material. Built in bubble level for the wall mount. Excellent array of screws and hardware. Simple to "hang", with the two part system. Easily adjusted for level and angle once the TV is mounted. Cons: Not designed for all TVs, investigate your TV's hole pattern. Mount is designed for rectangular patterns. (knocked a star off for that.)

Very sturdy mount
The mount is heavy and very sturdy. I've only had it installed for about a week, but it appears it will last a very long time. There is a lot of hardware included for varying configurations to meet your installation needs. Installation was very easy. Excellent product. I only have a few complaints that do not warrant a deduction in the overall rating, but which I will share for the benefit of others: 1. The hardware includes hallow wall anchors for mounting. However, the instructions state to only mount to a stud - which I would recommend also. The weight of the mount and of an attached TV at full extension would be more than I would want to put on such anchors. If there is no alternative, I would purchase more robust wall anchors to use. 2. I needed to install this on a stud that was right next to a wall plate for the cable outlet. The width of the bracket that attaches to the wall is too wide to sit right next to the wall plate, so I had to use a small piece of scrap wood so the mount would sit above the wall plate. I will eventually move the cable outlet and repair the drywall so the unit can fit flush against the wall as intended. 3. I had a very specific placement that required me to install the unit upside down. While it could work as is, the mating between the VESA mount and articulating arm would not be ideal. However, I found that the mount at the end of the articulating arm could easily be reversed by removing one screw. I think it would be beneficial to include such instructions in the manual.

Well made and easy to install. WOW!
Got it yesterday and installed it last night. Comes with a paper template you tape to the wall that shows where you drill into the wall for the 4 support screws. NOTE : you still have to find your studs in the wall, but the template sure makes it easy to know where to install the screws. Also, the mounting bracket is very heavy-duty and has a leveling 'bubble' on the bracket so you know when it is level...that is a neat extra. Mounted a 70 inch t.v. that weighs about 80 lbs and it handled it easily. THIS IS A DEAL for what you pay. Mounted on a parallel wall to bed and now I can swing it off that wall and have it viewed from the foot of the bed, yet swing it back and out of the way on the side wall. ALSO, once the mounting plate is screwed to the back of the t.v. it's a snap to affix to the bracket arm...that is a HUGE plus. Next point...comes with lots of extra screws and bolts to handle any needed application for mounting your t.v. to the wall bracket. VERY WELL MADE AND THOUGHT OUT. A BARGAIN at the price. Last point, the bracket does swing 90 degrees either left or right, which is handy if you want to install on a side wall and open and turn 90 degrees...however, keep in mind that the arm is 20 inches so you can't quite turn a 70 inch t.v. 90 degrees when the arm is extended, because of the width of the t.v. Almost, but not quite. STILL, completely satisfied with this purchase.

The Android of iPhone mounts
A long time ao I refused to buy monster cables because they were over-priced and did nothing more than the cheaper cables, yet so many people were drawn into the belief that the gold plating and super-conductive magic compound made the cables better. It's been much the same for me with TV mounts and how in so many retailers these mounts can cost a hundred dollars. I understand we're putting the expensive investment of our big TVs into the hands of these mounts, but with how light new TVs are there is no need to spend more than $20 bucks for a good quality mount. My TV in the living room weights over 60lbs and has a thick bezel showing its age. That TV is using a strong mount that is stuck to the wall that I got on clearance. The TV I am using this Amazon mount with is much lighter and a bit smaller. The mount is really strong and sturdy. The packaging included a level to make things perfect. The only thing I noticed for the quality was the little badge that says AMAZON BASICS on it was put on crooked and not quite in the place it was meant to. So my point is that this mount is cheap, works well is strong, and there is nothing to complain about. More expensive mounts are not better, they are just more expensive. That's it. JUst like an Android is better than an IPhone but cheaper.

Great deal and easy to install
I'm very impressed with this $20 wall mount. I replaced my computer and monitor and thought I would install the old monitor on the wall (desktop below) for use in our kitchenette. It's an 8 year old, 22 inch monitor with VESA holes and did not require the included adapter. All of the potential hardware you could need are included with the item. I think 3 sizes of screws and even rubber washers. If you own a drill and can find a stud, this is super easy to install and worth the $20. The included lag bolts were a bit of a bear, but with a cordless drill and socket were no trouble. The lag bolts can be installed with a Phillips head, but due to amount of force required, a socket is a safer bet. I'm fairly certain I would have stripped them with a screwdriver bit. There is an included template and level (a LEVEL!). I'm a little handy, not much, and this was a pretty easy project. The mount can be rotated nearly flush to the wall (part of the arm will be exposed) when not in use, and extended out. It also allows the monitor to be tilted up and down. The plastic cover hides the hardware and looks pretty good. All and all, I don't think you can go wrong with this item. One thing I just remembered, I was very excited about the built in cord keeper, but it's kind of useless. It's too small to fit an HDMI, DVI or monitor power cord through the holes on either end, and the opening in the "C" portion is barely big enough to fit a cellphone cord through it. Still think it's a great buy, just count on finding a different cord solution.

... brackets at home and this is by far the best we bought in terms of quality
We have 3 different types of wall mount tv brackets at home and this is by far the best we bought in terms of quality, functionalities and value! It's very sturdy, very well made, with clear instructions. You can pull out and push back towards the wall smoothly and it does tilt as well. It's perfect to plug in firestick whenever you want.

brilliant for the flexible positioning of a thin 65" LG OLED TV
I had to think a bit about the angles/extensions that this bracket was capable of in the 'interesting' corner of a large open-plan flat. Having done that, I'm very happy that it was the best way of making a large screen blend into the airy style of our new flat. Over the widest arc of the articulated arm's travel, there is very little variation - millimetres - in the resting vertical/inclination angles of a large screen at different viewing points. This depends on the quality of engineering and strength/accuracy of the swivel joints and structural metal components. Pretty impressive - I think - at this price point! The only negative for me now is that one ultimate purpose - Ipswich Town match viewings with Warsaw friends - may have to be reviewed due to the current quality of that offering not matching the rest of the setup!

Superb!
Design & Build quality are excellent. Supplied screws and nuts and other tools are nice. The installation instructions booklet contains detailed explanation. They are giving so much importance just for a tiny wall mount. Amazing Amazonbasics.
