Worst Purchase AND Customer Service
This purchase was a total waste of money. It never worked, no matter how many different batteries we tried, or how many different ways we tried to install and use it. On a cold winter morning, we were hoping for something that would make driving more comfortable, but this never even heated up beyond barely warm to the touch using a bare hand. We took it off the steering wheel and put it back in the original box within a day of opening it. It was several months later when we got around to trying to return it, and the company refused to take it back, saying the refund time had expired. There is nothing on the website about the return time having an expiration date, so we are completely dissatisfied with not only the product, but the customer service. Will NEVER purchase again from this company. Don't waste your $60 on a product like this.

Got what wanted and saved over $1940!
I got this product basically because I couldn't afford the option on my car. To get a heated wheel, I either needed to upgrade to the Ex and add a package or jump two levels to the SX - either way it was $2000+ to get an option I wanted, since I suffer from peripheral artery disease (PAD) and my hands are frequently cold. I'm not a big fan of gloves while driving since I lose tactile sensation, so for only 50ish bucks I ultimately solved my issue. You can not see the battery unit head on at all. Truly a total no brainer to install it (since my steering wheel had thick spokes the installing bag thingy was useless, guess it would work well for other models.). I thought I would void warranty by sticking a 3M Velcro deal to the battery pack, but after checking with the support person, they pointed out that the battery already had the soft part built into it (I flaked and hadn't noticed). So for an extra couple bucks the the Dollar place I got a pack of Velcro straps with the peel of backing and using just the course side of one of the I successfully mounted it.You honestly can't see it behind the spoke and the controls are handy to turn it on and adjust the settings with its one button control. I can do it sightless because you hold button for a few seconds for a beep. That turns it on high. Click again for medium, again for low and again for off.For me the Medium setting does the trick. On high its a bit much but all this is pretty subjective. Remember that you paid 50 not 2000, so it's not hardwired into the system. You won't be able to keep your mug warm with it.And speaking of battery, I was kinda surprised it came with a cigarette adapter and something I've never seen before: an adapter to plug the cigarette adapter into to the wall to charge it. A kinda oddly cool solution.Anyway it does what I wanted and I saved $1940+ on the built in variety. The steer wheel cover feels like quality leather and is quite grippy. Plus I scored the weird little cigarette adapter to AC wall charger as a bonus. I definitely recommend it!

Two Stars
Doesn't heat well, too bulky on SW and slips. I returned it.

Velcro saved the day
The heated steering wheel cover works well but I could not use the cloth pocket provided to attach the wiring to the battery. I purchased Velcro & attached to my steering wheel, and it was enough to hold the battery on the steering wheel. I had no problems putting the cover on my steering wheel. The heat element works well for me because I have Raynauds and my hands always suffer in the cold.

Didn’t work for me!
My unit did not provide any noticeable heat. I tried this on two successive days, with a fully charged battery each time. There wasn’t any obvious problem with the cable connection and the battery did discharge in the process on the first day. On the second day, I turned the unit on and set a timer for twenty minutes to allow plenty of time, but this was not warm at twenty. I tried fifteen minutes more but no change. In fairness it was cold in my garage, probably around 30F and this may have made it hard for the heater. Off course, though, this is precisely the situation in which you would want your steering wheel to be heated, and if 20-30 minutes isn’t long enough, then I’m going to get to work with cold hands. Perhaps the large mass of the cold steering wheel is too much for this heater. I’m sending it back.

Heated steering wheel cover
I bought this product for the cold winters where I live. The cover was easy to put on and the battery mounts well and stays out of the way when driving. I got the half heating element that works good for the top of the wheel and the heat is sufficient. No it is not like a built in steering wheel but for the money, I can't complain and think it was worth the money I spent on it.

It works good but the smell is horrific! Haven't put it in my truck yet, trying to air it out. Smells like burnt rubber
