Review: Negatives: Hardest part was trying to get the side safety latch open. Finally grabbed a pair of pliers. I am right handed. Had the safety toggle on the right side and grasped the entire length of the dial handle with the pliers. Pulled it siightly out to the side and twisted over the safety/off stop with ease. Wish I had tried that before the knife and screwdriver. I am not a professional by any means so maybe this is an obvious solution, but I do wish the bottles came with safety latch instructions bc it is so tricky for novices. Fluid capacity line only visible from front of bottle, not handle side visible when spraying. Would be safer to not have to face the chemical end to check product remaining. Positives: Easy to use, allows for application quickly and thoroughly. Better than others, no leaking. Affordable option to dilute concentrates and save money compared with store ready solutions. This allows me to get 8-10 treatments for the cost of 1 with RM43 for dilution as compared to roundup. Better product for less money and easier to apply. Excellent product! I actually wish we got a 4 pack as it is easier for us to have 2 bottles of solution mixed up per lot and switch when empty. That way the mixing can be done in shed and the bottles ready on hand for use on site. That is a convenience factor but likely will get 2 more if we need to spray again next year. How much liquid fertilizer do i add** A: First I assume you want to spray your lawn and not just a small spot area. You need to know a couple numbers first: the square feet of the area you want to spray, and the square feet of the coverage of the fertilizer you want to use. If you do not know the the square footage of your lawn you will have to physically measure it or go to Google Earth and use the measurement tool to get the square footage. The second number is printed on the fertilizer container. Dividing your total square footage (of the area you want to spray) into the total square footage the fertilizer container will tell you if you have enough fertilizer to cover your area, or if you need to buy more. Since your question is about a "water soluble" fertilizer, the fertilizer container will tell you the mix ratio - "n" scoops, cups, etc fertilizer per "n" gallons of water. Mix a solution of water and fertilizer that will cover your lawn. Each of these sprayers will hold 32 oz or 1 quart solution. For example: if a gallon of your solution will cover your lawn, then you will need to divide your lawn into fourths - one quart per fourth. But if you calculate that you will need two gallons of solution you will need to use two spray containers of solution for the same area. One other factor will affect how much fertilizer you put down will be how fast you walk and spray. Obviously if you sprint across your lawn then you won't use as much fertilizer as you need and conversely if you walk very slowly you will run out of fertilizer solution before you can cover the entire area. A quick way to determine how fast your solution will be sprayed is to fill one container with colored water (so you can tell when its been emptied) and spray an area with just the colored water.
